"FASCINATING...THIS TIMELINE IS...STRANGE. MAYBE...JUST MAYBE."

______________________________

I was sleeping and so was Sans. Then, Frisk popped out of nowhere and woke us up.

"Yo," I said, "Our break just started. Wanna go to Grillby's?"

She gave us the thumbs-up sign telling us the answer to my question.

"Cool," Sans said, "Over here. I know a shortcut."

"Wait, Sans, is it alright if I teleport Frisk there?"

"Fine by me. As long as you make it in time."

I teleported with Frisk but we ended up in the wrong spot.

"Dammit! I knew that Sans wasn't lying about my problems with teleporting!"

"W-Where are we?" Frisk asked me, "I don't even remember a door being here before."

"What? What door-"

I turned around and saw a door that was in a blank space. No echo flowers were growing around it. Frisk reached for the doorknob but I pulled her hand back.

"Best not. Besides, if you touch it, all of your DETERMINATION will be sucked out."

I opened the door and saw someone standing in the center of the room. He somehow looked familiar. He looked like...Gaster?

"Welp, here we are. So we wanted to talk about what happened in the last...timeline."

______________________________

The door closed behind us even though no one was pushing it. We were stuck in the room

"Ah. Yes," the strange creature said, "Let's take a look at who managed to get here. You must be Frisk, and you must be my son. Looks like you survived the Core explosion isn't that just swell?"

"What? How do you know about the Core explosion?"

"Both of your DETERMINATION exceeds most. With that kind of power, with those souls, I could return. I could be whole again."

"Frisk. You know what to do."

She reached her hand out to the RESET button but it was all black. It was dark. Dark, darker, yet darker, even more, darker.

"I'm afraid I can't allow you to do that. I've been waiting so long for this opportunity."

Then, the space around us turned gray since it was already black. He had his goopy hand pointed at both of us and said,

"I just have to kill you both once, RIGHT?"

Spikes came running towards us but we hurried past them. Black slashes came after us but we dodged them. We looked behind us and the slashes that were chasing after us were taping the door shut. Suddenly, a Gaster Blaster with a cracked skull appeared and I called on my soul powers to create a shield. I lbocked it and someone else did. It was Sans! He finally came!

"Sans!" I said, "Thank God you-"

"We'll chat later!" he said, "For now, let's get out of here."

He snapped his fingers and nothing happened.

"No, Sans," I said, "You're not doing it right, it's like this."

I snapped my fingers but nothing happened. It was like we had an inability to use our teleporting skills.

"Why can't I teleport? RIGHT?" the creature said reading our minds, "You're all stuck in here with me."
