[15] The Observatory

Blaire's POV

I hold the envelope in my hands, turning it over. Once I see the address my grin widens, just as wide as my mom's.

It was their address.

Now I'll just have to fond out who sent it.

"Open it!" My mom shouts, looking more excited than me.

"Okay!"

I carefully open the envelope taking the letter out. I unfold it, and read.

Before anything else, I'd like to say that I let a friend write this down for me. I felt that a little mystery was needed, like in those novels.

Okay, uh...

I love you.

I love you so much.

Ever since the day we met. I knew I wanted to spend the rest of my life with you.

Cheesy, I know.

But yeah, I mean it.

I want to see you. Right now.

So I've come up with a plan. Knowing that you'd come here no matter what.

Meet me at the observatory.

Yeah, I paid for everything. I know you would've probably argued, since the price was "too high".

But I've already paid, so the least you could do, is come here and enjoy yourself.

Remember, I want you happy.

I love you.

And I hope you love me too.

"That's it? No name?!"

"Mom! Stop reading!"

"Too late," she says, winking at me.

"Now, get ready. You have an observatory to go to."

I park my car, I'm already dressed. I'm already here.

The ride here was unbearable! Traffic really caught up today, luckily, I was a bit earlier than traffic.

I'm actually surprised that "he" still remembers this observatory thing. Its been months. But its still sweet that he did.

I've reread the letter, to be honest. And I couldn't guess who it was. There wasn't a single sign.

There were no cussing, no fancy words, nothing.

So I'll find out on my own.

I get out of my car, walking into the observatory. Handing the man the pass that was inside the letter earlier. Then I made my way in.

It was already dark out. But this place was well lighted.

Once I've reached the center of the observatory, the place with the big telescope, I call out.

"Hello? Uh, whoever sent me the letter earlier, I'm here."

"Baby, I was afraid you wouldn't show up."

"Ryder?" My head shot the other way, seeing Ryder walking up to me, "You planned this?"

He stops right in front of me, his hand reaching up to caress my cheek, "Of course I did. Though, I don't know how to work that telescope myself. Someone will be here shortly."

"I'm surprised you even remembered," I chuckled, and that makes him smile.

He sighs, wrapping his arms around me, keeping me close, "I love you so much."

"I love you too.

"You have no idea how glad I am to hear you say that." Without another word, he kisses me.

Our lips molded together in a sweet, quick kiss.

"Be my girlfriend, Blaire." Ryder looks at me hopefully.

"Of course I will."

And that was it. We spent the rest of the night gazing at the night sky, with the help of some guy of course.
