13th Doctor One-Shots

Characters: 13th Doctor, Clara Oswald, Yaz Khan, Ryan Sinclair and Graham O'Brien

This is one that I started a few months ago, and I found this morning on my phone and decided to finish it. It's short and probably really bad, but hopefully you'll like it :) - cornflakecat

The Doctor freezes when she sees her. That girl. That impossible girl. How could she have ever have forgotten her?

Clara Oswald. Standing at the viewpoint on the top of the hill, looking around at the scenery bellow. The Doctor didn't know what to do; she could only let out a small whining noise.

"You alright Doc?" Graham asks her.

"It's her."

"Who?" Yaz follows the Doctors gaze to the girl standing a few meters ahead of them.

"Clara." she whispers in reply.

"Clara?"

"She's... an old friend. It's complicated. Really complicated..."

"You gonna say hi to her?" Ryan asks, pulling her away from her thoughts.

"Oh, no, no no no, I can't, I really can't...-" she stutters, but Graham could tell she was dying to talk to this Clara person again. He walks briskly over and taps her on the shoulder. The girl spins around and looks at Graham, slightly confused.

"Um- hi? I'm really sorry, but do I know you?"

"No, but my friend over there does." He jerks a thumb over his shoulder in the Doctors direction. "But she's too scared to come talk to you." Clara looks over at the woman that this man seemed to be talking about. Her extravagant dress sense was probably the thing that gave it away, or perhaps it was the fact that the TARDIS was parked further down the hill.

"...Doctor?"

"That's her." Clara runs past him towards the Doctor and gives her a huge hug, as Graham walks back towards them.

"I thought you had forgotten me."

"It's quite hard to forget someone like you, Clara Oswald." Clara steps back, and looks her friend up and down.

"Well, you've certainly changed! I like it. Who are your friends?"

"This is Yaz, Ryan and Graham." Clara gives them a small wave.

"I'm Clara Oswald. Used to travel with the Doctor, then... it's complicated." And she gives the Doctor a smile, and the Doctor grins from ear to ear.
