ok ok so what if everyone's been going to camp for a few years now, but only see each other during the summer. and after summer when they all go back to school neil and nikki (in this they're parents got married so now they're step siblings) they get to go to a private school with a great science program for neil and a athletic program for nikki. this is in high school btw. so they get there and need to be shown around the school and their tour guide is non other than

Max! he goes there because his parents force him to but he secretly likes it there. everyone is shocked to see each other and neil wonders why max goes there since he never really seemed like the type of person to be in a private school. they talk and neil realizes that max is actually really smart and does extremely well in school (when he wants to). he even needs max to help him with homework sometimes. and max also goes for the athletic program because of soccer or something so he hangs out with nikki too.
