"And.. Begin!" Professor McGonagal calls from her place where she sits at the top of the Great Hall. I run a hand through my hair and keep it there, beginning the exam. I scribble answers, sketch diagrams and think about the questions for what seems like hours. If McGonagal wasn't such a good teacher I think I'd fail. Dipping my quill in the ink pot, I scribble the last answer. Moments later and Professor McGonagal calls to us to finish, and I glance around, bored, to see who else has finished. My eyes land on Sirius. He's leaning back in his chair, hair falling into his eyes, quill down on the parchment, wearing the usual bored, haughty expression. My thoughts wander to the kiss we shared. It was just to prove he could, wasn't it? I've asked myself over and over through every day of the OWL's. Sirius and I had been friends since second year, I had never thought about him in that way.. Until this year. The thought had crossed my mind, but I could never have feelings for Sirius, could I? There was just no way. But the kiss had lingered, the world had fallen away, and he was the only thing I could think about afterwards. I had pulled away reluctantly, to see his smirking face. "Told you." He had winked, then stood up, stretched, and waved to James. I had stayed silent afterwards, brooding. We hadn't told James, Remus or Peter, me because it was too personal and Sirius probably didn't tell them because he wasn't bothered. It meant nothing to him. I was just another girl on his list of people he's snogged, another name to brag about, another girl who means nothing. And I'm not taking it. I refuse to let anyone treat me like that. The thought stays in my mind, growing like a creeper plant, my frown deepening as I walk, in a daze, out into the entrance hall. "Skye! Your exams are over!" A loud voice calls, and I turn slowly to see Sam, running towards me. I open my arms and he buries his head in my chest, smiling. "Hey, small child." I grin down at him. "I'm not small! And I'm not a child!" He argues back. "I beg to differ." A deep voice replies, amused, as Jared walks over, smiling. "Well done on finishing your exams." He whispers as he pulls me into a hug. "Thanks." I reply, wrapping my arms around him. "So, how did they go?" He asks, falling into step as we walk with Sam towards the common room. "Okay, I suppose. Especially Potions and Defence against the Dark Arts." I respond. "It's so sunny outside!" Sam whinges suddenly, causing us to look at him. "So?" "Let's go for a walk! Outside, around the grounds or by the lake or something!" He suggests, tugging on Jared's sleeve. "Sounds good." Jared shrugs in reply, looking inquiringly at me. "Done." I nod, linking arms with them both and skipping out into the sun, basking in the summer air. My thoughts finally drift away from stress and from Sirius, free of him for just a while.

A/N: Short chapter, I'm really sorry! But the next will be long hopefully and then it's the train home. But it's okay cause this story continues into their sixth year :) Vote, comment, follow, etc!
