Okay so here's another update to make up for me not updating in ages.. Sorry! And I know Renolin isn't an actual Hogwarts character, but for the sake of y story and my happiness, can we pretend?:) Anyone want anything to happen? Do you want there to be a ball, an interaction with a particular person, anything? Let me know? Oh, and one last thing! Big favour? Can at least two people comment, I don't care how long or short, but tell me your opinion on Skye Amelia Turner? She's got a lot of good but a lot of bad too. Like everyone.. Anyway please do that for me? It will give me motivation to update quicker :)

The days of January slid past with nothing but study and spending time with Lily, Alice, Marlene and Mary. Sam was around a lot too, and Skye found out some interesting information about him one day in the Great Hall. The whole hall was filled with talk of a Gryffindor boy, Renolin, who had been expelled yesterday from trying to hex Professor McGonagal. Skye didn't find it interesting at all, the boy had many nothing to her. Instead, she talked with Sam. They sat having dinner when a tall, handsome boy walked over and clapped a hand on Sam's shoulder. He was tanned and has amazing brown eyes that sparkled in the early morning light of the hall. "Hey, little brother." He smiled, leaning down to ruffle his hair. Skye frowned thoughtfully- he was familiar. Very familiar. Then it clicked. "Hi, Jared." Sam grinned, turning to his older brother. Skye's eyes widened, staring between her young friend and the boy she had been dancing with not two weeks ago. He had smiled at her every time he had seen her, occasionally waving at her in the halls. Skye had waved back, smiling at him. "Hello, Skye." Jared said quietly, sitting down between her and Sam. "Hello." He smiled back at him. "Can I join you?" He asked her. "Well you already have, I don't see much point in stopping you." She grinned back, chewing a Yorkshire pudding. The fire burned brightly nearby, illuminating the green of the Slytherin robes. One boy in particular had his head down, black hair strewn across his face. Severus Snape. Lily sat beside him, despite the glares she was getting from nearly all the Slytherin's, save a few. She was rubbing his shoulder tentatively, and seemed to be comforting him. "What's wrong with him?" Jared asked, seeing Skye looking at him. She shrugged and turned to Sam. "I should go, Sam, I've go homework." She told him. "I'll go with you." Jared said, standing up. Catching her eye, he smiled modestly. "If that's okay?.. I've got study to do." He said. "Yeah.. Why not?" Skye smiled as they walked away. The two of them talked quietly between themselves as they left the hall, laughing at silly little things. It was when they reached the stairs that they heard the loud, obnoxious laugh. Skye had been fine without Sirius, but it had meant that James and Peter didn't talk to her- they took sides, being the immature people they both were. Remus had spoken to her, but not as much as he or she would have liked. Now though, Sirius stood leaning on the stairs bannister, laughing with James. He glanced up pointedly to look at Skye, who kept her head up and continued walking. "Skye!" James called as she passed. Jared and Skye stopped walking to face them both. Sirius' eyes darkened slightly. "Didn't know you had a boyfriend." He said, nodding towards Jared. "I don't." She said casually, trying to hide her anger. "Anyway, anyway, anyway." James said, shaking his head. "What?" Skye sighed, exasperated. She hadn't spoken to James since the night of the New Years Eve party, when Skye had told Sirius they should take a break. "Did you hear about Renolin?" He asked her casually. Despite not talking to her, James was acting like nothing was wrong now, probably because things like this didn't bother him. "Yeah.." Skye said warily. "Why?" "We need a new chaser." He told her bluntly. "So?" Skye asked, impatiently, drumming her fingers on her folded arm. "So!" James sighed in exasperation. "You should try out." He told her, shrugging. Skye spluttered. "Me?" She asked, laughing. "You should." Jared said suddenly, and finally Sirius looked at him. "Who are you?" He asked. "Jared. I'm in the year above you." Jared responded, smiling. "Good for you." Sirius muttered darkly. "Sirius." Skye snapped angrily. "Just because your jealous doesn't mean you have to behave like a six year old." She told him, then, ignoring James, flipped her hair over her shoulder and walked away.
