aeroplane ~ or US airplane : noun : an engine-powered flying machine it's fixed wings

It was finally Halloween break and we had a whole week off school. Heaven. It was currently 3:06am, October 25th and Louis, Liam and I were Skyping. I was snuggled in bed wearing my cosiest pyjamas and a beanie over my head (my real hair had started to grow back, but hardly, so I made sure to cover it whenever I was in sight of anyone, even Liam and Lou, and I obviously wasn't going to wear my wig at 3 o clock in the morning).

"So, Krissy," Liam began, "any ideas of what the three of us will be up to this week?"

I cleared my throat quietly. "Yes, actually. Number four, and number five, actually," I started, "fly in a aeroplane and go to Disney World."

"You've never been on a plane?" Louis asked.

"No." I said sheepishly.

"And you've never been to Disney World?" Liam asked, shocked.

"No..." I shrugged.

"I've been tonnes if times. My cousins live in Orlando. I go every summer," Liam bragged. I was so jealous.

"Well, I asked my parents last weekend and I think they said I could go. I think they're booking plane tickets tomorrow so if you want one you better tell your mommies!" I grinned.

"Seriously! You're taking us to Orlando?!" Louis shrieked, a little louder than he was meant to.

"Yeah!" I giggled. "My grandparents are paying for the whole trip, so all you guys need is permission to come."

"That's awesome! Thanks so much, Kriss!" Liam thanked.

"No problem." I smiled. "Okay, I'll talk to you guys in the morning and give you more if the details." I said.

"Okay. Night Kriss." The two boys said together and we all logged off.

The next morning, I immediately texted Louis and Liam the final details of the trip and they replied with they were able to go. I got my mom to book the plane ride for tomorrow to Orlando and hotel. We would be staying in the theme park's hotel and Liam, Lou and I would share a hotel room and my parents had one with my little sister, Isobella.

At around 7pm we skyped again.

"Hi guys," I greeted as the cute faces popped up on my laptop screen.

"Heh-low." Louis pronounced and made a silly face.

"Hey," Liam said shyly.

"I'm so excited for tomorrow, aren't you?!" I could hardly hold back a smile. I was so excited to go to Disney World but also really excited to even ride a plane. I'd never ridden in one, but had always wanted to. For any of my rare holidays, we drove to Chicago and the furthest if ever been out of Indiana was Arkansas, where my mom's old friend lived. I was always really jealous of Liam as he went to Georgia or Florida every year and had recently been to France. Louis had come from England originally so he regularly went back to visit friends and family.

"So excited!" Liam enthused, followed by Louis too.

"I'm just so excited to get out of Indiana again. You know how I get whenever I travel." I was referring to my self-diagnosation of travel-craziness. It wasn't a bad crazy but I got super hyper and could sleep at all when I went anywhere even through it was stupid because I basically only went a state over.

"Well then maybe you should calm down a tiny bit and maybe try to get some sleep now, hun? To gain a little more hours asleep, I mean," Louis suggested, "that's what I'm gonna do anyway, you know. I pretty sure I've got your travel-craziness as well!" Probably just his ADHD.

"Yeah, that's a good idea."

"I'm full of good ideas."

"I know," I giggled, "I'll see you guys tomorrow, 1 pm, waiting outside your homes with your packed bags waiting for me to pick you up to go to the airport to go on a plane that brings us to Florida." The hyperness was settling in already.

"Okay, bye Krissy." The boys said together and their faces disappeared off my laptop screen.

The next morning I woke up early at 8am. Isobella, who was also coming on the holiday, helped me pack the rest of my things and I did the same with her. As soon as we were ready, I put all the suitcases into the car and basically pulled my parents out of the house and drove to Liam's, after saying goodbye to my brother Jai, of course. He would be staying with my grandparents, who lived just outside of Indianapolis, but probably wouldn't be at their house most of the time. He was a big party animal and ever since he started to drive, which was two years ago, he was barely at the house at all. Jai started to stay around more when I was first diagnosed and I know he tries hard. He's a great brother.

I arrived at Liam's house about thirty seconds later, jumped out of the car and hugged him tightly. I caught him off guard but he hugged me back.

"Hey!" I shrieked, taking him luggage out of his hand and taking it to the trunk of the car.

"Hey! I'm so excited," he smiled and helped me close the trunk.

My mom appeared beside us and hugged Liam, then strolled over to Karen, who was waiting to see us off. Our moms hugged and chatted for a few moments while Liam and I got into the car.

"Bye guys, have fun. Liam, be safe, alright!" Karen hollered as the car pulled away. Liam and I waved to Karen as we drove away and then came to Louis' house, only another few moments away from our houses.

Louis was also waiting with his mum and sisters. Phoebe and Daisy had their arms wrapped around his legs tightly and Johanna was fixing his hair a bit. Lottie and Fizzy were standing behind him awkwardly, tapping their phones.

Liam and I both jumped out of the car and greeted Louis and his family. Liam took his suitcase to the trunk as my mom and I talked to Louis and Johanna. Louis was eager to get away from his mum and before we knew it we were on our way to the Indianapolis International Airport.

To be honest, I was scared. I'd never ever been in an airport before, never mind an aeroplane. But at the same time I was super excited and couldn't wait.

Once in the airport, we left the car in the parking lot, got a bus to the terminal and went straight through security. Then we had to put our bags through some X-ray machine and walk through a weird arch doorway thing. I didn't know what it was for but I followed Liam's instructions.
We headed towards the gate and took a seat until we were finally able to board. Soon enough we were on the plane, ready to take off.

"You excited?" Liam asked, gripping my hand tightly.

"Mmm hmm." I answered, sorta scared.

"I'm super excited, I mean... we get to go to Disney world! This will be amazing!" Louis shrieked.

"Tone it down a little, Lou." I whispered when I noticed he had attracted a little attention from passengers near us. He was naturally too loud.

"Sorry," he apologised.

Suddenly, there was a loud ding and a voice over a PA started talking, "good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain Elijah Goode here and today we'll be co-captained by Lisa Marie Carter. We'll be taking off in a few moments and your flight will last approximately one hour and fifty minutes. Thank you and enjoy the flight." Then there was a ding again.

A few minutes later, the plane began to move. I grasped Liam and Louis' hands and shook. I was scared.

"Here," Louis said, handing me a jelly. "It will stop your ears popping when we're in that air."

"Thanks." I replied. That was comforting. I wasn't that scared when I realised Lou and Liam would protect me on this flight, and they'd make me comfortable too. Then I settled in for the start of a great journey.
