Adora sighed as she held her head in her hands at her desk. They had a new office in their room so now Adora could focus without any distractions like Melog or Glimmer popping into their room from time to time. Catra apparently heard this sigh and leaned on the door frame to her office, "Hey what's the matter?" Adora looked up and immediately smiled at the sight of her beautiful and heavily pregnant wife. She was finally 8 months pregnant and Adora needed just one more paycheck before she could buy a house a little bit outside of BrightMoon in this beautiful countryside. Glimmer had offered repeatedly to have a house built just the way Adora and Catra wanted it but Catra was dead set on this house that resided on the countryside. It was nice and quiet and different from where they grew up and lived. "Adora?" Adora snapped back to reality before standing up and walking over to her wife slowly. Her hands immediately found the slightly wider hips on her wife and she rested her head on the peach fuzzed shoulder. Catra's tail, as usual, found itself curled around Adora's ankle. She began to purr lightly as the thumbs of Adora's hands began to rub firm circles into her hips. "Just work." She murmured tiredly and pressed closer as one hand trailed up to her baby bump to draw shapes into. Catra was now wearing shirts that exposed her stomach so she didn't feel confined, a crop top almost. Adora had made her promise that she wouldn't be as active as much and to let the blonde take care of her but they both knew Adora couldn't contain her. "Mm, what kind of work?" She hummed out as Adora pressed gentle kisses to her wife's neck. "Work work." They both laughed before beginning to sway to non existent music, "Do you think this baby will change everything?" Catra suddenly asked but Adora was too tired to be shocked and she just nestled deeper into her wife's shoulder and neck. "Not everything, I'll still have my beautiful wife." Adora murmured as Catra placed her hand on top of the one that rested on her hip. "Adora look at me, I'm being serious." She demanded and not being able to deny her wife, Adora did as she was told. "This baby is a big change but it won't change everything." Adora assured as Catra cupped her cheek and pulled her closer til they bumped foreheads, still swaying. "Remember our wedding night and we danced just like this when a slow song came on?" Adora asked, closing her eyes and smiling at her wife who just blushed and rolled her eyes. "Yeah you couldn't keep your prying hands off of me." Catra smirked as Adora's stormy eyes flew open and her face quickly became flushed and red. "So I can't touch my wife?" Adora asked in mock shock as she placed a hand over her heart but Catra quickly grabbed her hand and placed it back on her hip. Now they were, Adora's hands on her wife's hips and her wife's arms draped around her shoulders as they swayed. Adora turned them a few times as they brushed noses and giggled. They didn't notice the door to their room opening and closing and they just kept swaying and whispering lovingly to each other. "Uhm..Adora?" Their heads both swiveled around to look at Glimmer who was standing in their room, dumbfounded. Adora's hands slid off of Catra's hips as she pulled away to grab some papers off of her desk and walked over to Glimmer. "Some of them aren't done yet and I'm sorry-" an angry sigh sounded from Glimmer before the short woman began to wave her arms frantically as she talked, "I need them done Adora! I know you have a lot on your plate right now but I need these plans done before I meet with the princesses of a different kingdom to do a peace treaty!" Adora stood there, head hung, taking the scolding from Glimmer. "That's enough Sparkles, cut her some slack. Adora's got a pregnant wife to take care of, a job to worry about, and now all this princess stuff." Catra said sternly as she stood beside Adora, grabbing her hand and giving it a squeeze. Glimmer's arms fell limp to her sides and she dropped the papers, "You got a job...? Why didn't you tell me?" Adora winced before closing her eyes and taking a breath. "Yeah it happened when Catra was 5 months and I almost have enough money to get us that house-" Adora was interrupted by Glimmer, "5 months? Adora she's 8 months now! You've kept your job a secret for that long?" Adora nodded silently and Glimmer let out an angry growl before storming towards the door, but before she left she turned around and pointed at Adora, "You can't just keep doing this Adora! Oh and I want those papers done, today." Glimmer snapped before slamming the door closed. Catra looked up at Adora but the blonde just dropped to her knees and began gathering the dropped papers. "Hey, hey come on Adora. Stop working for now okay? You need a break." Adora didn't answer, even after she finished gathering the papers. Adora walked back into her office, closed the door, and locked it and Catra knew that Adora needed space.
She finished the Princess Alliance papers that needed to get done today and finally unlocked her door. Catra was standing there, hands on her hips. "Hey princess, you done working now?" She asked and her face lit up when Adora smiled at her. "Yeah but let me get these papers to Glimmer first then we can do something, your pick." Catra nodded and watched as Adora began hurrying towards the bedroom door. She grabbed the back of Adora's collar and turned her around, grabbing her face and bringing her into a passionate kiss. "What was that for?" Catra smiled and pressed a feathery kiss to Adora's cheekbone, "I just love you dummy now hurry back here before I claw my eyes out." Adora smiled and walked out of the room. Catra looked down at her stomach with a loving smile as she felt their baby kick at the feel of their mothers hand. Those papers aren't the only thing due soon. Catra mused before going to sit down in Adora's office chair.
