"Hello little baby," it was a nickname that was used by both Catra and Adora ever since Catra was pregnant. They had no idea why it was such an affectionate name to them, but they guess everyone has weird pet names. Adora finished changing her son's diaper and pressed a kiss to his little tummy before picking him up and cradling him to her upper chest by her collar bone. Catra smiled at her from the doorway, she was glad to see that Adora had become more confident with their son. When Finn was first born Adora was terrified of holding him in case she hurt him but now she was better at holding him and playing. Happy blue eyes met blue and yellow ones as her wife walked up to her with their son carefully tucked against her as he played with blonde hair. "Hello my darling wife." Adora greeted fondly as they bumped foreheads, noses brushing against one another, "Hello to you too..my wife." Catra wasn't as good with pet names as Adora was but she was trying her hardest. Adora insisted that she didn't have to use pet names like she did but Catra wanted to make her wife feel as loved as she did to her. A light laugh escaped the blonde's lips and she closed her eyes for a moment, "He's very fussy whenever I try to change him, how do you do it?" Finn was half and half. Sometimes he would cooperate and sometimes he would fight and kick and scream. With Adora, Finn never liked her changing him but with Catra he didn't mind. "Maybe it's a Magicat thing." Catra teased as she booped her son's nose before batting Adora's leg with her tail and leaving the room for the kitchen. Adora adjusted their 2 month old son in her arms as Catra smiled at her from by the stove. "Did you need something?" Adora asked sweetly as Finn suckled on Adora's finger, she laughed at the face he made. Brows furrowed and very concentrated on Adora's finger. "Oh no, I just...what should I make? I want to cook something but I have no idea on what to make." Adora sat down at their small and slightly old kitchen table and tipped her head back in thought. "Stir fry?" Catra's ear twitched in thought, "Alright, that sounds good." Adora watched with loving eyes as her wife flipped the pages in their recipe book and pull out pots and pans. Finn seemed to be falling asleep so Adora carried him back to his room and tucked him into his crib before heading back to the kitchen. Adora walked up behind her wife as she turned the stove on and wrapped her arms around the brunette's waist from behind. "W-what're you doing?" Catra still had her dislikes of certain things because of her PTSD but she regularly went to therapy sessions with Perfuma and was slowly getting better, though they both knew that it would never go away. "You're just really beautiful." Adora murmured into the back of Catra's neck lovingly. A soft rumble of a purr erupted from her. "Someone's clingy today huh?" The blonde nodded and Catra's purrs grew in volume.
Screaming and crying filled the silent house. Catra awoke from her sleep and tiredly began to shake Adora awake too, "Mm 'Dora he's crying." The blonde just sleepily grumbled in response. Catra rubbed her eye, "Adora please, I'm really tired." Adora shifted around before sitting up, half asleep. The blonde tiredly stomped towards Finn's room and took him out of his crib, she didn't smell a dirty diaper so she began to bounce him on her arm. He wailed in her ear and tiny balled fists came up to his eyes to catch his tears. Adora continued to bounce her son on her arm, trying to coax him to sleep but after awhile he still screamed and cried. The blonde took him back to their bedroom to Catra who was trying to sleep, "Catra I think he's hungry." The brunette Magicat tiredly sat up and extended her arms to get her son. Catra brought her son up to her chest to let him feed but it seemed he wasn't hungry either, but he seemed to calm down at the fact he was tucked against his mother. Catra guessed he could probably hear her heart beating. "I think he just wanted his moms." Catra yawned before. They had put his crib back in his room and for the most part he was okay but Finn just couldn't sleep without his mothers. "I'll go get his crib." Adora yawned and walked out of the room.
Adora cooed as she moved Finn's tiny fingers. It was just Adora and Finn for the time being, Catra was exhausted and Adora wanted her to rest for a little while. Finn's lips curled up into a smile as Adora played with his fingers and watched as the tiny and developing claws peaked out. For a few more moments Adora talked and played with her son, kissing his fluffy tummy and booping his button nose. Suddenly Finn began to cry which surprised Adora because before Catra went to bed they made sure he was set on everything for awhile. Adora read that sometimes babies cry for no reason. "Shh, shh little baby, mama's asleep." Adora cooed in her attempt to try and calm Finn down but he screamed out and the blonde winced before picking him up and bouncing him on her arm. The blonde feared her wife waking up so she hurriedly tried to calm down her son but he wasn't having it, he clutched onto Adora's shirt tightly and his tears fell onto the shirt. "Why is he crying?" Adora froze up when she heard her wife's voice, Catra tiredly walked over and gently took Finn into her arms and cradled him against her. Finn quickly settled down with a few sniffles and quick breaths. "Looks like he just wanted his mama." Adora hung her head in shame, as Catra chuckled and pressed a kiss to her wife's lips. "He loves you too, don't worry." Adora smiled and sat Catra down, "He is one noisy boy." Catra looked up at her wife before down at her son, "I agree."
