Chapter 10 - Bad news

Sakura punched Naruto.

"Ouch."

"Anyway I wanted to tell you that Sasuke will be fine. Orochimaru just used his technique and from now on, he can't do it for three years," said Jiraiya.

"Good to know," said Sakura and smiled.

"That’s great, Sakura-chan!" Naruto smiled.

"And Naruto, it’s time to go. Say goodbye to your friend."

"Take care, Sakura-chan! … We won’t see each other again." Sakura wasn’t supposed to hear the second sentence, but she heard it. She heard it, but she let it be because she didn’t know what Naruto meant by it.

Naruto is gone. Everyone thinks that it’s only for three years, but we know it’s not true.

"Senju Tsunade, but call me Tsunade."

"Hospital?"

"Hokage called me here, he’s badly injured and I’m the only one who can help him. That’s what he said."

"Amazing!" Sakura said with a twinkle in her eye.

"Tsunade, is that you?!"

"Yes, the one and only!"

"Now rest!" ordered Tsunade and used medical ninjutsu on him. Sakura watched her intently.

"Does it still hurt?"

"Just little, it’s much better… Your hands are amazing, Tsuna!"

"You’ll be fine tomorrow." After a while Hokage fell asleep.

"That was amazing! If only I had this ability..."

"And why not? How are you doing with your chakra control?"

"Quite good, Kakashi-sensei told me I’m even better than Sasuke-kun in this!" said proudly Sakura.

"That sounds good! All right, Sakura, you are now my student! Medical ninjas are needed in this world! And there’s not many of them," said seriously Tsunade.

"I won’t dissapoint you!" Sakura said confidently.

"I hope so!" Tsunade smiled.

"I have to visit someone named Rock Lee now. He was hurt during Chunin exams and it looks serious. You can go with me." Sakura knew about Lee’s situation. She often brings him flowers. It’s because he saved her when she got lost in the Forest of Death.

"Do you know where is Jiraiya? I heard he’s back in the village," said Tsunade.

"He took Uzumaki Naruto for training. He’ll be gone for three years."

"I see."

"Jiraiya, you found the child of prophecy yet?" thought Tsunade.

When they came into the room, Might Guy was there too.

"Tsunade-sama!! Is that you??! Please save Lee!!!" Guy beg her for help.

"I’ll do what I can."

"S-Sakura-san?" Lee looked at Sakura.

"Don’t worry, Lee, Tsunade-sama will help you." Sakura smiled and Tsunade treated him.

"Impossible!" Tsunade was in shock.

„W-what’s wrong?!“ Guy was panicking.

"I’m sorry to say this, but he must give up on his dream of becoming a ninja..."

"What are you saying? You are joking, right?! Lee, don’t listen to her, she is just-!"

"It’s true, deal with it," said Tsunade and left.

"Guy-sensei!!!!"

"Leeeee!!!!" They were crying on each others arms. Sakura sadly looked at them and ran after Tsunade.

„Are you sure there’s no other way?"

"Sakura, if there was, I would tell them. There is only 5% he’ll survive the operation. (His injuries are much worse than in anime). I can’t allow it!"

"I-I see."

"Haa, Tsunade-sama! Have you healed Lee yet?" asked Tenten who was amazed by Tsunade's appearance.

"I’m sorry, I can’t heal him…" Neji was totally uninterested.

"That's good, at least he won't believe in such a stupid dream. This is his destiny."

"Don’t be so cruel!" said Sakura.

"Tss." Neji looked away.

"Let it be, Sakura, he won’t change," said Tenten.
