Kakashi’s POV
I was just returning from a challenging mission. It lasted several months, so I had not been in the village for a long time. I'm just going to report to our Hokage. Even Gai was coming with me. We met on the way to the village.
"So, Kakashi, how long have you been there?"
"Hmm, 10 months I think…"
"Hah! I finished my mission in 8 months!"
"Then what are you doing here?"
"You know, I had to train… For Lee…" And here we go again. He’s crying again.
"Gai, it’s been years, you should put up with it."
"I know, but Lee!!" Ahh… When I think about it… I haven't seen Naruto or Jiraiya-sensei in a long time. All I know is that they went to train together. And I haven't read any of Jiraiya's books in a long time. I'm looking forward to reading one again…
Few days later
Good old village, I see nothing has changed. We're going to report now… We knocked the door.
"Third Hokage-!!!" yelled Gai. But he wasn’t there.
"T-Tsunade-sama?" I asked.
"Oh, Gai, Kakashi, you’ve been on a long mission. Let me explain…" And so Tsunade-sama began to explain. There was a lot of it. Unfortunately, Jiraiya died ... And the one who killed him was Naruto. He also killed the Third… After a long journey, he returned to the village, but ANBU took him to Hozuki Castle for dangerous criminals…
Naruto, he was my great student. How could this happen? He was even better than Sasuke… But Sasuke also evaporated. He should be on his own mission, but who would believe that? He was always jealous of Naruto's power…
"Tsunade-sama, please let me visit Naruto."
"Kakashi, you know I can’t do that! It’s Hozuki Castle after all!"
"I know, but I can’t believe it… I would like to talk to Naruto… I’m sure he…"
"He didn’t do it on purpose. We already know that, Kakashi. Kyuubi's power is much stronger than we thought. Kyuubi's chakra completely possessed Naruto, so he is no longer himself. But as long as he is possessed by this dark chakra, he is dangerous to his surroundings."
"And what about the seal that disrupts the chakra?"
"Kyuubi’s chakra is special. Even if Naruto lost communication with Kyuubi, he would still be possessed. It's a matter of years before the possession subsides.
"I see, but could I talk to him? I was guarding Hozuki Castle for a while. I know it there."
"This is not about that, but very well. Hatake Kakashi, your new mission will be to visit Hozuki Castle and interrogate Naruto. Get all the important information from him. I'll make your journey easier. I'll call them to wait for you." I nodded.
"Thank you." She smiled.
"So… you are our new Hokage?"
"I’m surprised you understand it, Gai. You will get a new mission too. Accompany Kakashi and search Hozuki Castle. Naruto is our Jinchuuriki. We are afraid that they will want to use his power. Make sure they don't plan anything!"
"Of course!" said Gai.
"You are dismissed. Say hello to Naruto for me, Kakashi." I smiled. I'm sorry I couldn't help Naruto. As his teacher, I failed. But it's not too late to correct my mistake. Maybe I can stop Sasuke too…
