"It was SO funny," I heard Asahi and his gang walking towards the detention room.

"Bro, did you see? The whole cohort literally listened to you and started the food fight!" Ye Dam gushed.

"Like the food fight was a good thing," I muttered under my breath.

"What did you say?" Asahi asked as he threw his drawing block on the table in front of me. And a pencil. He was going to draw? Lame!

"None of your concern," I mumbled coldly and focused on my worksheet.

"Still as feisty as ever!" Choi Hyun Suk teased as Asahi smacked him in the arm. 

"Ya Asahi, what are you drawing anyways?" Ye Dam put a hand around Asahi's shoulder. 

"None of your concern," Asahi suddenly pressed his book to his chest and hid it from everyone.

"NOnE oF yOuR cOnCerN, that's our Asahi!" Hyun Suk teased. 

"Still as dumb as ever!" I replied.

"Sorry, here's a makeup fee," Hyun Suk threw a packet of gummy bears on my worksheet. 

"Hey, don't I get any?" Ye Dam whined.

"Thanks i guess," I murmured, smiling secretly. 

Wait. Wasn't Asahi the one who sent Haruto away?? 

I stood up all of a sudden and tapped on Asahi's table, "Were you the one who...who made Haruto move to another country?!" I demanded.

"Haru...to?" Asahi questioned nervously as he nodded slightly and diverted his eyes to the ground. 

"You son-" I walked forward, about to grab his collar. Instead, I balled my fist and walked away. 

"Asahi! Go after her!" I heard Hyun Suk yell as I chuckled. Like he'd care.

It was too late. He ruined everything. He ruined my relationship with Haruto. God knows where Haruto is now.

"Asahi!" Hyun Suk continued.

"God damn it Asahi!" Hyun Suk shouted, exasperated.

I slumped down onto the floor and held my necklace. Would he still remember me? He told me that if we had this necklace we would be with each other forever? Right?

Did he forget me? Would he still remember me if I find his contact? A million questioned filled my head as I pressed "message" on Instagram and tried to construct a sentence.

hey haruto, it's me akari, do you still remember?

Ah no, I can't ask him like that. It'll make him stressed to remember me...I deleted the message and tried again.

ruto, it's me, akari, your childhood friend...at least, before you moved.

Argh, I couldn't say that either! Maybe...maybe he didn't even consider me as his friend. 

"Ugh," a groan emerged from my lips unexpectedly as I heard footsteps.

"Akari!" Hyun Suk yelled through the hallway.

"Akari?" Hyun Suk continued. God, why were Asahi's friends so annoying? Just leave me alone!

"Akariii? Akari! Akari~ Box girl!" Hyun Suk yelled.

After about a million other attempts, I couldn't take his yelling anymore. 

"I'm here oh my gosh! Can't you let me have some quiet time?!" His smile vanished and he walked towards me silently. 

"I'm sorry Akari," Hyun Suk slumped down beside me.

"I was just worried-" Hyun Suk opened his mouth yet again.

"Worried for what Choi Hyun Suk? I don't even know you, don't act like we know each other well," I sighed and stared at the water droplets falling from the sky.

where are you ruto...

"I know...I just thought-"

"CAN YOU JUST FREAKING SHUT UP?" I screamed, much to my surprise. 

Hyun Suk looked taken aback, but he shuffled his feet awkwardly and retreated away, sitting a distance away from me. 

I instantly felt bad as I whispered, "Look, I'm sorry. I just can't...I just can't."

"I miss Ruto so much, you wouldn't understand. You weren't here when he was still in the country but...Asahi's father did something. Something unforgivable."

"He made Haruto and his family move elsewhere. And at that time, I liked Haruto. I never got to tell him. I never had the courage to. And now he's just somewhere far away from me. I'm sorry Hyun Suk. Maybe I should learn to forget Ruto."

"You okay?" Hyun Suk offered another packet of gummy bears.

"Are you gummy bear man?" I teased as he smiled back.

"Nah, gummy bears just cheer me up a lot, I feel insecure without them." 

I nodded, accepting the packet of gummy bears. 

"I know this is a bad timing," Hyun Suk looked up at me. 

"But do you wanna...uh, hang out after school tomorrow? I'll meet you at the entrance of the central mall," Hyun Suk bit his lip. 

What a way to ask for a date. This guy was interesting...

"Did you just indirectly ask me for a date?" I teased as both his ears and cheeks turned red this time.

"Ya Akari! Don't try me," Hyun Suk hid a smile as I laughed. 

"Ne, Hyun Suk hyung, see you tomorrow." A smile crept up my face as I stood up and left.

"Mwo?! Why did you call me hyung?" Hyun Suk asked.

"Ya Akari! Tell me!" Hyun Suk called behind me.

"Did you brozone me?! AKARI! YA, I'LL KILL YOU TOMORROW!" Hyun Suk yelled behind me as I burst into laughter.

also, my end years exams end on the 9th of october, i'd need to settle some admin matters for my co-curricular activity in school, and i'll be super active on wattpad
