Blake piped up,"Wow! That's awesome! I'm gonna try!" Blake wriggled in his chains, but instead of breaking free, his chains got tighter. "Bad idea!" he squeaked, his face turning purple. Ariyan sniggered.

"Somebody do something!" Frost yelled. He wasn't about to just sit there and let Blake lose blood circulation and die. Nobody moved, they all seemed petrified. "Fine." He thought, and tried to get out of his chains to help. Wrong choice. The chains tightened on him and he felt all the blood rush away from his arms. It burned. He felt like fire, all his body felt hot and he knew he would never make it out alive. This was the end. He closed his eyes and-

"Frost! You're on fire!

In different circumstances in which the comment was towards how awesome he was, he would've found this appealing, but now, not so much. He opened his eyes and looked at his bound hands. They were on fire. He should have been scared for his life, should have been in pain, but he was neither. The fire felt warm and cozy, unlike what it actually was. Frost felt the solid iron melt into liquid and slide off of him like jelly. He could move freely now that the chains were gone. But he was still on fire, and it was starting to get hotter by the second,"How do I put myself out?" Frost wondered. He thought about how he flamed up, it was the pressure that made him feel hot in the first place.

"Does anyone have water or ice?" Elyse yelled

Frost felt his temperature rise by twenty degrees. His eyes darted around the room. The room was small, but the emptiness made it feel bigger than what it really was. It stank as if they were in an underground sewer, but it was shaped like a box. The room was humid. The flames were starting to feel more deadly, Frost was running out of time. He searched desperately for something to put the flames out. Something caught his eye at the other side of the room, water was leaking from the corner of the room. He didn't have time to think about how unhygienic it was, he just ran under the leak and let the dirty water drip on his head. One drop and he felt his skin sizzle in relief. Then everything went dark.

Frost woke up with some burnt holes in his dark jeans and 'Middle Borough High School' shirt that he got from 'Be More Chill' on Broadway.

"That was my favorite shirt!" Frost whined.

"Wow," Elyse breathed. "That was awesome!"

"More like extremely dangerous! You could have set the room on fire! Not to mention us!" Lunar exclaimed.

"He couldn't have set the room on fire, it's made of stone and dirt, which doesn't really burn. And anyways, how did you do that? Are you a half-blood? Which god? Where'd ya come from?" Rose rapid-fired questions at Frost.

"Can you explain what a 'half-blood' is?" Frost pleaded.

"Yeah," Rasi agreed. "You've been going off about this half-blood thing, but none of us have any idea about what that is!"

Rose looked at the others, but they all had similar expressions of confusion. She sighed. "A half-blood is a kid who has one human parent, and one godly parent."

Disbelief spread across their faces.

"A god? Ha. We learned about those in school. A myth that a bunch of crazy Greek dudes made up who didn't know how the world works. Well, now we do. It's called science. Ever heard of it?"Ariyan smirked

"You're cute," Lunar said, gesturing towards Rose,"But someday you'll learn what causes the Sun to go around the Earth, and it's not because some creepy underworld god!" Lunar laughed

Rose looked stricken. "Hades doesn't drive the Sun Chariot, Apollo does! And even if you were right, the Earth goes around the Sun, not the other way around! And I'm telling the truth!"

Apollo.
