"FINE!" Rasi exclaimed, "IF THIS IS HOW YOU'RE GOING TO BE, THEN I'M DONE."She began to storm into the maze, but Frost grabbed her wrist before she could run into the maze. He pulled her back and whispered in her ear, "You are not doing this right now. You are making everything worse. Just keep it together so we can get out of here." He turned around and pushed her back into the group, away from the maze.
"Now, let's split into groups," Frost said. He put his hand up, "Peacefully"

"Well I'm going with Elyse," Cammie said quickly. "I guess I'll just go with you guys then," Frost said, walking over to them.
"Lunar, Aspen," Rasi said commandingly, "You're coming with me"
"I don-" Lunar started.
"You don't have a choice," Rasi narrowed her eyes threateningly. "Why are we splitting into groups if we're going together?" Lunar asked. "I just thought that if we ever get separated, we'll at least have our group."
"Wait," Aspen said interrupted. "Where's Rose?" Everyone froze. They may have been disagreeing, but someone disappearing like that without anyone noticing was concerning. She was nowhere to be seen.
"Where could she have gone?" Aspen said, her overprotective side activating. Rasi put her hand on her shoulder. "Calm down."
Lunar said, "I can smell her scent." Cammie looked at her weirded out. "I don't know, I can just smell a scent, and that reminds me of her. And Ariyan's. Maybe that's my idiotic power, like how Rasi has one. Smelling people's scents, and growing and shrinking." She rolled her eyes.
"Hey," Rasi attempted to comfort her. "Maybe that's just part of it." Lunar scoffed. "It's still stupid."
"I don't care," Aspen snapped. It was unlike her, and it was scary. "If it can find Rose, then use it." Lunar looked around, tilting her nose in the air. "She went into the maze," She said, stepping closer to the path on the right, "this way. Most likely following Ariyan. It would be pointless going after her"
Elyse facepalmed. "What does that kid think she's doing, going into the maze, defenseless. I hope Ariyan protects her."
"Anyway," Cammie said. "I think we should just go." His excitement from earlier was fading away.
"Fine." Rasi answered, dragging the two girls by the hand to the path on the right. Lunar whispered, "There's a weird smell that way, I don't think we should follow it." The crease in Aspen's brow deepened, but they turned onto the left path without a word.
"I wonder why they're going the other way," Rasi heard Cammie say from behind them. She ignored them and kept walking. "Lead the way." She said to Lunar.
"I still need to make up a nickname for you," She teased, but her heart wasn't in it. It had finally sunken in - for her and for everyone - that they were in real danger.
Lunar ignored her instead of biting back. Even though she was leading, Rasi was still in the middle. She suddenly tightened her hold on Rasi's hand and inhaled sharply while turning the corner.
Then she stopped.
The path they were walking didn't have any forks yet, only twists and turns they had no choice but to follow. This was the first thing that wasn't the same as the rest of the maze. It was an empty clearing. It reminded her of the clearings in the Labyrinth in the book Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire by J. K. Rowling, which Harry had to fight monsters in. The clearing didn't seem to have anything in it, but Lunar pulled them back into the path and around the corner.
She motioned them to be quiet. "There's something in the clearing, something weird." She whispered, tapping her nose when they gave her confused looks as to how she knew. Rasi felt, for once, scared. She looked behind her to check on the others.
"No, no no no no no no..."
Behind them was a dead end.
Hi! It's A again, sorry for not updating, again, but here's the new chapter! What do you guys think of it? What's in the clearing? Comment! Vote! Follow! (oh god now I sound like Silveny from kotlc)
