Rose stood still for a moment. "I'm sorry," Rose said, her voice sounding irritated."Frost, can I have James check your necklace in case there's a hidden secret or whatever to help us get out of this room and potentially survive?!" Rose yelled, her voice getting louder and louder. Now it was Frost's turn to be stunned. He expected Rose to be guilty, and apologize sincerely like a normal 8 year old would. Instead, she was mad. She shoved the necklace to James and exclaimed,"Let me teach you a lesson you unnapprecia-"

SMASH!

Then suddenly, the lights went out. A voice that sounded like it belonged to Ariyan shouted,"Argh! I think I just stepped on glass!"

"Ariyan! Did you break the lightbulb!?" Rose yelled

Frost couldn't see Ariyan, but he could tell that Ariyan was hurt. "I was just trying to help,"

Trying to help matters, Frost said,"Maybe something benefited out of it. Does anyone have a flashlight?"

A beam of light flashed to the floor, and judging by how low it was to the ground, Frost guessed that Rose was holding it. "Way ahead of you Frost!" Rose said.

Frost saw shards of glass on the wooden floor, and some blood which he suspected was Ariyan's. Rose shined the beam of light at the ceiling and Frost could clearly make out the broken lightbulb. But inside, there was a keyhole.

"Those little antennas must've been on the sides because the keyhole is in the middle, I can't believe I didn't notice that sooner!" James exclaimed. Rose then shined the light on Ariyan who was still hurt. He had shards of glass in feet, and an inch stuck in his shoulder. He pulled the shard out of his shoulder and winced. "ARGHHHH!"

Ariyan then proceeded to pull the glass out of his feet. Rasi groaned, and then rushed to his side. "You're not supposed to pull the glass out! That'll cause more bleeding! Does no one here know any basic first aid? GET HIM SOME BANDAGES!" Rasi yelled to the group.

"That's not basic first aid," Ariyan grumbled. Rasi shot him a look sharper than the glass. "Lie down, I need to elevate the wound, elevate it higher than your heart. It'll direct blood away from the wound".

Ariyan combated the look with a glare of his own. "I'm not hurt," he insisted, blood running down his arm, red drops splattering the floor. Rasi covered the injury with her sleeve, yelled for bandages again, and then turned her gaze back to Ariyan.

Rasi narrowed her eyes. "Do it." She said. "No!" He argued.

Frustration flashed in her blue eyes. Something changed in her expression, and she started to speak again. "Lie down, and do as I say." Charmspeak oozed into her voice, but it was different from last time. The last time felt like warm honey flowing over soft words. This time was cold, commanding, controlling, her voice filled with authority. A deceiving smile danced on her lips, not matching the frigid words. It felt more like snow coating than a sugar coating.

Ariyan obeyed, his brown eyes clouding over, losing himself to her words. Even Frost felt some of the charmspeak, it was so powerful, even though it wasn't directed to him at all. She raised his arm over his head.

She muttered something that sounded suspiciously like "These people. Won't even get a bleeding guy bandages." Rose heard her, and suggested ripping strips of Ariyan's shirt. Aspen had a scandalized look on her face, until she realized what Rose actually meant. She turned pink, and ducked her head and murmured her agreement, "Yeah, for the bandages, yeah, that's what you meant." Lunar rolled her eyes at Aspen, and then went to rip part of Ariyan's sleeve off for the bandages.
