Tony was pretty sure that if he fell, it would be his last fall. Battle raged below him, as he flew wobbling through the sky, blasting randomly at anyone that came in his way. (he was two seconds away from blasting Thor, but fortunately, Thor wasn't that hard to miss.) he felt weird, there was a feeling in his gut and a voice in his head that told him that something bad was going to happen. For once, Tony wished with all his heart that he was wrong. He was hovering over this HUGE group of monsters, who looked up at him from time to time, licking their lips. (sometimes Tony licked HIS lips back, just to show them he wasn't afraid. But in truth, Tony was internally screaming and panicking) (ya'll I've been internally screaming and panicking since 5th grade. it's literally the only thing I'm good at)
Tony was desperately trying to fly away, but some sort of force was binding him. Muttering unhappily, he tried to call any of his buddies so they could help him. But no one answered. Tony cursed under his breath. Suddenly, the monsters under him scrammed away in horror. He looked around, only to see Percy standing there, holding his sword out, grinning.
"you called?" he asked.
"yes but why do you and I always end up in the same place?" Tony asked.
"I don't know," Percy said. "you always end up in trouble."
"says who?"
"its the truth dad, stop denying everything." (i relate to this line so much because my dad would never admit it when he made a mistake)
Tony flashed him an annoyed look. "what did you do to the monsters?"
"what did I do?" Percy asked. "I just entered and they-"
The reason he got interrupted was simple. Behind him, something like a golden doorway appeared. Percy turned around to see what it was, just as Tony landed next to him. When the doorway opened, light poured in. Squinting, Tony could only make out a fat black shadow-y thing standing in the middle of the light. The thing- which appeared to be a very fat man- cursed. Why was the voice familiar....?
"Percy," Tony said urgently.
"yeah?"
"do you recognize-"
Gabe stepped out of the doorway, laughing. Tony watched as he slowly stepped forward. They guy was dressed in a suit, his ugly face sticking out. He grinned, and Tony felt like vomiting.
"my, Percy," Gabe sneered. "you've grown."
Percy was at a loss of words. He looked scared. Tony had a sad flashback to when Percy was 5. He felt like sobbing.
Tony opened his mouth and closed it, like a fish. What the hell was Gabe doing here? Had Kronos known? Tony's mind was flooding with questions.
"wait. what are you doing here?" Tony managed to ask.
"where did you think I went?" Gabe sneered. "I came across Kronos and his army, and they took me in. I'm a special help to them."
"special as in what?" Percy asked. Tony was shocked he could speak without breaking down.
Gabe smiled. Or he tried. He looked like pig with horse teeth. "special as in..." he took out something that looked like a blaster, and before anyone could react, he fired it at Percy, sending him flying back into a pile of rubble. Percy hit it so hard, that the whole enormous pile came down on top of him.
