Tony was getting impatient by the second. He'd been waiting outside the Empire State building for two hours. he was feeling HOT. the AC helped, but his back was so sweaty he felt like crying. He kept changing songs, trying to find something he could vibe with, (mood) but it was one of those days that he couldn't vibe to ANYTHING. (also mood) He was about to fall asleep, when a loud "boo!" woke him up.
He saw Percy grinning at him like nothing happened. Tony waved his hands in a way that clearly stated he wanted him to come inside. Percy obeyed.
"It's hot today," Percy told him.
"noticed." Tony said, trying not to be awkward. (wow he's a whole another lever to mood) "you're okay right?"
"yeah?" Percy said. "don't I look okay?"
"you look fine," Tony said. "at least you're not dead."
Percy half laughed and stared out of the window. Don't screw this up, Tony thought to himself. "so what happened?"
"what happened?" Percy asked.
"to you and everything."
Percy gave him one of his most signature looks: confusion.
"weren't you shocked when you woke up?" Tony asked.
"I was shocked at I woke up, so I didn't find time to think about anything else." Percy said. "what happened to you?"
"nothing." Tony said. "I don't have a fingernail now." he said, lifting up his hand and removing the bandage so Percy could see.
"why is it purple?" Percy asked, wrinkling his nose. "I don't think it's supposed to be purple."
"It's not purple." Tony said, studying it. "I think it's blue."
"oh and that's better." Percy said sarcastically.
"what happened when you woke up?" Tony asked, changing the subject. "tell me everything."
(right i don't have the thumb or the patience to write it all, so imma shorten it a bit)
Percy told him about Typhon and what happened in the war. And what happened after he woke up.
"so then they said that I could ask for anything." Percy finished. There was a moment of silence before he said with an extreme poker face, "and now I can turn into an Unicorn whenever I want."
Tony stared at him.
"okay that's not true." Percy admitted. "I can turn into a blue Unicorn whenever I want."
"what?" Tony asked. "you're not serious, right?"
"I've never been more serious in my life, dad." Percy said seriously. "and my tail is sparkly and rainbow colored."
"shut up." Tony said. "I can't even tell if you're joking. because you being you might wish for something like that."
"nah, I'm kidding." Percy said. "I asked them to pay for their child support." (I saw this on Tumblr the other day and I've been laughing about it since then. Thought I'd use it, if that's fine with everyone.)
Tony wouldn't have understood anything if Percy hadn't explained what he meant by child support. Tony couldn't help but feel proud.
"so you're going to be staying at Camp for a while now?" Tony asked him.
