A Different Ending to Legend of Korra

**Mako**

Mako hadn't seen Korra in awhile, but he missed her, more than he cared to admit. For a week he didn't see her, and for a week she was all he could think about. At first, he tried not to, he knew it could only make things worse and more complicated for them, but as days passed he couldn't help it... Her eyes, that smile- the thought of her at all gave him butterflies. He must've been obvious though because one of his colleagues called him out. "So who is it?" Brady asked. Mako turned around, confused why Brady of all people was talking to him. A few months ago they had worked a small case together and he'd tried to take all the glory for it... Mako discovered more and figured out Brady was completely wrong. "Who is what?" Mako said in response, turning back around to work on the paperwork he had been trying to do earlier. Brady scooted his chair closer, "Don't play dumb Mako it's obvious someone is on your mind," he elbowed Mako, "Who's the lucky ladayy." Mako shook his head, "Nobody is on my mind Brady, I've got work to do, you mind?" Brady scooted away with a sigh, "Sure loverboy." Mako rolled his eyes and focused on not looking lovestruck, because he would have to for tonight, for when him and Korra met up at his apartment to watch a movie. 

**Korra**

Korra tied her now longer hair into a ponytail, and she sighed. She would need to cut it again soon, it was getting annoying, and in the way. But also hoped Mako might like it. She stopped herself in that thought though, she felt guilty thinking that way. She wasn't exactly sure why, she knew she had some feelings left for him so why was she so resistant? It was because she was afraid she realized. Afraid that Mako wouldn't feel the same and she would lose him. She shook her head telling herself to stop. Tonight was just to watch movies... as friends, not a date. It felt like a date though, a lot like a date. Maybe it was, she wasn't sure. She splashed her face with cold water and took a deep breath before leaving for Mako's.
