Eddie Kaspbrak and Myra Kaspbrak got married on the 17th of December. The only man Richie ever loved got married and he watched it all. Everyone was crying, so it didn't look unusual that Richie was crying also. Everyone just assumed that Richie was crying because his best friend got married. No, he's crying because the love of his life got married.

Richie ended up putting a picture of Beverly in his pocket so Beverly could be there. He didn't show Eddie until the end of the ceremony and once he did Eddie cried harder than he did at the ceremony and pulled Richie into a tight hug.

Eddie's been acting weird during the whole after party. He hasn't really been talking to Myra, he's barely even talking actually. Richie sits next to Eddie, "What's up?" Richie asks, "I... Nevermind. It's stupid." Richie shakes his head, "Noothing you say is stupid. What's wrong?" Eddie sighs, "Did I make a mistake?" Richie's eyes went wide, "Wait, that sounded wrong. Not with Myra or anything... Just in general. Did I make a mistake by obeying my mother for all those years, did I make a mistake being who I am. Should I have changed? Instead of the short boy with mommy issues and a breathing problem should I have been the tough boy who played football amd smoked weed? What did I do wrong? Why do I feel this way Chee? D-Did I do something wrong?" Eddie let a small tear roll down his face. "Eds... You did nothing wrong, you're perfect the way you are. I love your weird mannerisms and how you get about health and hygine. It makes you different than everyone else. Why are you so worried Eds?" Eddie sighed and looked down, "Because all my life people told me I should change. And now that I'm married... I thought it'd all change in some weird way. That I get to prove to myself that I am worthy of love and I don't have to change. But I feel the same Chee. I feel the same." Richie pulled Eddie into a tight side hug, "You don't need to change for shit Eds. Not for me, not for your High School bullies, not for your mom, not for Myra. You're amazing the way you are." Richie saw Myra glaring him from across the room so he slowly let go of Eddie but kept a tight grip on his hand, "Don't change for anyone." Richie whispered loud enough for Eddie to hear.
