4 Months later

It was the middle of the night. Machi and Kiyoto were dashing through the forest in search of their target. They had posted themselves on the hunter forums as a duo of hunters for hire, and because of the Zoldyck name, they were hired for many assassination jobs.

Their current job was to assassinate a fellow hunter that had apparently wronged someone financially. There was some sort of ruins excavation and the organizer of the excavation was scammed by the one they were chasing.

Their target had proven themselves to be exceptionally strong, and had a transmutation hatsu that could let him fire out blades of energy that sliced through the trunks of the surrounding trees with little to no problem whatsoever. They had been on the run for about 30 minutes, and Kiyoto decided to wait until there was an open area to use his hatsu because unless he was using a stealth boost, it was more effective in an open setting.

Machi was able to attach a string to the target earlier, and they used that to track him.  Kiyoto used gyo to track the string, and burst forward at full speed, catching up quickly and sending a punch flying at his target.

He was sent smashing through many, many trees and wouldn't you know it, he landed in a wide clearing. Kiyoto decided to give the man a little bit of a chance, allowing him to stand up. Once he did, he fired a consecutive stream of energy blades that were dangerously fast. Kiyoto never had a chance to get any hits in, and was forced to keep dodging.

'I guess I have to use it... here we go...'

"Musical Spirit: Sentient Glow!"

It was plainly obvious that he needed a speed buff to win, and used one of his lesser buffs. It was all he needed though.

His aura spiked as soon as the music began, and his speed doubled. Kiyoto managed to outrun all of the energy blades, and appeared right in front of the target.

The man was quickly decapitated by Kiyoto's guitar, and fell limp onto the ground. He slung the guitar onto his back, and started walking the direction from which they came.

"Well, the task is done. He was definitely pretty powerful!" Kiyoto said to himself, with his hands on his hips, celebrating a bit.

Machi appeared out of the forest, panting slightly, and gave him a judging look.

"Uhhh... you good? You're glowing..." (Imagine Aoyama)

"Yep! We're done! Let's go back!" He started walking back with a bright smile, with Machi following him.

"Wouldn't you be able to catch him on your own?" Machi asked, as they were walking.

"In the dark, not a chance! He was stealthy, despite his hatsu, and his speed was fast enough that he could outrun me the whole time. Your string was the absolute most helpful thing in existence."

"Alright. Do you wanna start heading to Yorknew now?"

"Sure!"

"Ok... wait, huh?!" Machi looked at her phone, seeing a message from Hisoka.

"What is it?" Kiyoto asked.

"Hisoka said he might need me for something at the Heavens Arena, and said he'd pay me."

"Really? That's odd, but I guess we should go then...?"

"Ugh... he's so weird though... but money is money I guess..." Machi said, showing visible frustration. Hisoka always gave everyone very off vibes.
