Chapter 2: The Troupe

"Long time no see?! What?!" Machi asked in surprise.

It was true though. Chrollo and Kiyoto has met before, a long time ago.

Flashback

Kiyoto was 15 at the time. He was assigned a job to hunt down a human trafficking organization that had been causing a fair bit of ruckus. These were the kind of people that Kiyoto would slaughter without hesitation.

Tracking the group was the first issue. They were well hidden. He had already spent a day gathering information in hopes to find them.

As he walked around the city, he sensed a strong aura with his en. Even at 15, his en was already able to extend 30 meters in each direction.

As he got closer, he came across an alleyway. He peered over the corner and saw a boy a bit older than him with sleek black hair, fighting off some thugs. It took him about 10 seconds.

'Dang, he's really strong!' Kiyoto thought. Then without warming, the boy turned his head in his the assassin's direction, and charged at him.

The boy swung a punch at him, but Kiyoto was able to use his guitar to block it.

"Hey! What do you think you're doing dude!" Kiyoto exclaimed.

"You're with them aren't you?!"

"No...? I just sensed your aura and wanted to watch!"

The boy stopped attacking. He sighed in dissatisfaction.

"Fine... whatever. What's your name kid?" He asked.

"Kiyoto Zoldyck. What about you?"

The boy's eyes piqued with interest.

"So, you're one of the famous Zoldyck assassins? Very interesting. My name is Chrollo Lucilfer."

The two discussed things for around 15 minutes. Kiyoto informed Chrollo of his mission, and asked if there was any info he had.

Luckily, Chrollo was able to provide some directions to a warehouse which apparently had a bunch of kidnapped people in it.

The two parted ways, and Kiyoto continued his hunt.

The directions provided turned out to be helpful, and he was able to quickly exterminate the targets.

After the mission was over, and for the next few years, both Chrollo and Kiyoto would think of each other, wondering where they had gotten in the world.

Back to Present Time

"Yeah, we met a few years ago, while I was on a mission." Kiyoto confirmed.

"Indeed. It's good to see you again, Kiyoto. Just looking at you now, I can tell that your far stronger than when we met. I have to question though, what made you come here? Not many would come here voluntarily."

"Honestly, I've just been traveling around for a few months. I heard about this place and thought it would be interesting to check out."

By now, the rest of the troupe was interested in Kiyoto as well, and they walked over, forming sort of a semi-circle.

"Machi, tell me. How did you come across him?"

Machi look pretty unhappy with the question. It was rather embarrassing what happened to her, but she obliged and told Chrollo.

"I was patrolling the borders of the city when I saw him. I told him to leave, and he said that if I beat him in a fight, he would leave. And as you can see... he crushed me." Machi said the last bit with annoyance.
