"it's obvious that I couldn't"
I haven't talked to Pony in over two weeks, he's been smooching and having make out sessions with his girlfriend, even in front of the gang, but around Darry, they calm down. It pisses me off seeing them together. Pony will never know what she does.
I was walking to the DX with Soda, Steve and Dallas, where we'd all split ways, Steve and Soda would go to work and Dallas would go off probably stealing some money and getting into a fight.
"I'm surprised Ponyboy could get a woman like that!" Dally smirked, making it obvious that if Caroline was older he would definitely attempt to be with her. "Yea im surprised.." I wept, trying to hide my jealousy. "Don't worry you'll get over him! It's just a crush Y/n!" Soda blurted out, he immediately covered his mouth with his hands, his eyes were full of shock.
Dallas and Steve stared at my beet red face, I tried to cover it the best I could. "I'm sorry" Soda apologized, putting his hand on my shoulder. "Don't Talk to me" I ran off, as fast as I could, towards town. I wanted to get away from all of them, I thought I could trust Soda but it's obvious that I couldn't.
I snuck around the corner of an alley, getting away from view of the DX. I knew all the alleys and back roads like the back of my hand, I swiftly made my way in and out of alleys. I stopped in my tracks as soon as I heard a familiar voice, but the other voice wasn't one I recognized. I popped my head slowly around the corner, I couldn't believe my eyes.
