My body fell beside Ponyboy, I laid my arm across his back. "Hey Pony, stuff like that is going to happen, I warned you before hand" I reassured. He tightly squeezed my entire body in a warming hug and rested his head on my shoulder as he cried more. "I'm an idiot, I should've listened to you" he stammered, I could feel the tears soaking into my shirt, making my shoulder cold and wet.
"It's alright, you ain't an idiot. You're perfect just sometimes, you have things that go wrong" My hand rubbed softly against his back, his body inched closer to mine. "You'll be alright buddy, you'll get over her with a blink of an eye" Steve said, Pony's watery gaze shifted over to Steve. "Thanks Steve" Pony mumbled. "Wow, you say thank you to Steve but not to me" Ponyboy Giggled ever so slightly.
His eyes met up with mine and he gave a little broken smile. "I love you" he whispered, as he placed his lips on mine, he pulled away as the gang cheered Ponyboy on, except for Kian. My whole body was shaking, I felt like I was going to melt right then and there, my cheeks went extremely red and my face was pale. I couldn't believe what happened, what I'd been waiting for, for years.
