Heading to School & Getting Out

Tuesday rolls in, and it's way too early for all this sunshine nonsense. My window's letting in all this light like it's trying to force me to get up. But whatever, I drag myself out of bed, throw on whatever's clean, and grab my backpack. Let's get this over with.

As I walk to school, I try to pretend I'm not half-asleep, but at least it's nice out. I can hear the usual street noises, people yelling stuff like they've got to make up for how quiet the rest of the week is. School's buzzing when I get there, mostly because everyone's trying to act like they're ready to actually do stuff.

First period, homeroom with Mrs. Smith. She's all cheerful and ready to kick off the day like it's a big party. Meanwhile, I'm just trying to survive the next few hours. Math, science, history... same stuff, different day. I zone out half the time, but hey, at least I'm not falling asleep in class, so that's a win.

Lunchtime rolls around, and that's the one part of the day that's actually worth it. I meet up with Rowley and the rest of the crew. We talk about our weekends, which is just code for making fun of Rowley's awkward life. We're eating, joking, and pretending the rest of the day doesn't exist.

The afternoon flies by, which is good because I didn't exactly sign up to learn a ton today. By the time the bell rings, I'm just happy to be out of there. School's great and all, but I'm way more interested in what I can do when the bell rings. I head home, already thinking about what I'm doing tonight... which is probably nothing, but it's nice to pretend I've got stuff planned.

Back at home, everything's chill. I throw my backpack down, kick back, and try to appreciate the fact that I made it through another day. Tomorrow's probably gonna be the same, but at least I've survived today. Bring on whatever's next.
