Amity's POV

I stared at the girl above me who was hanging off of the Owl House by two hands, according to her though, she was "showing me a trick", but it doesn't seem super "tricky".

"Are you sure you know what you're doing?", I asked trying to convey the worry through my voice more than my words.

I watched Luz's head turn a bit as she shouted out, "Pfft, Yea ofcourse I know what I'm doing".

She didn't sound very confident, but I didn't know what else I could do, so I stood there and watched. I twiddled my fingers a little hoping she wouldn't fall, even though I didn't have enough hope in her to know she wouldn't fall.

Luz started swinging a bit, her fingers curled around the shingles on the roof. I felt myself cringe a bit as I watched her do it.

"Luz, I don't understand why your doing this", I called out, trying to get to the bottom of this indescribable decision

"Don't worry about me Blig- WoAh!", Luz tried to calm me down, but I watched her fingers slip and her body fall from the roof.

"LUZ!" I screamed, running towards Luz who had already hit the ground.

I fell to my knees and turned Luz over, I took a good look at her, my eyes falling directly to the gash in the middle of her forehead. I started to caress her face, trying to get her back to being conscious.

I heard the door of the Owl House creek open and my eyes shot open wide as I turned my head to see Eda and King marching out of the house, not even realizing that luz had fallen from the roof.

"Hey uh-" I started, but I must have already caught there attention since I was sitting down with and unconscious Luz.

"What did you do this time, Lilith's apprentice?", Eda asked, sighing slightly afterwards, like I was always a problem.

"W-well my name A-amity- but Luz was t-trying to show me a trick and-" I tried to finish by Eda cut me off by saying, "So she tried to show you something and you just killed her?".

I started at the Owl lady blankly, i couldn't believe what she had just said. I felt my eyes narrow as I glared at Eda, but my vision soon averted back to what seemed to be a moving Luz. I watched her moved a little bit under me then she said with no hesitation, "Did I do the trick?".

I giggled a little bit, knowing that Luz is always super playful and said, "No, but you kinda sorta fell".

"Welp she seems fine, I'm gonna go" The Owl Lady said as she grabbed a hold of what was called king and walked away from the Owl House.

"Why is your hand on my face?", Luz asked staring at me with innocent eyes.

I felt my cheeks flush and I guarantee that my face was a dark shade of crimson, so in reaction I swiftly removed my hand from Luz's face and stood up, lending out my hand for the girl to grab.

Luz looked up at me and took a hold of my hand and I only slightly pulled before she was up to her feet, and she slightly stumbled forward, before regaining her balance She giggled because of her clumsiness and I laughed back before noticing that the gash in her forehead was still present.

."Oh Luz, your forehead!", I said, more for reminding myself, but to also let her know what happened.

"What abou- oohhh", she whispered, her hand landing onto the cut, she continued, "It's okay, let's just slap a band-aid on it and continue what we were doing".

My jaw dropped at her willingness to continue that dangerous stunt she was trying to attempt.

"WHAT! No!", I said my hand making and 'x' against my chest to signalify, the seriousness of the situation, "I don't want you doing whatever that was again, you could hurt yourself worse than you did before".
