A town midday"What can I get for you, sir?" The 26 year old man asked with a smile on his face. Sachi prided himself on his service in his small corner tea shop.
It was a pretty average nondescript merchant town, but still large enough that it was able to hold a significant influence in their region of the fire country.
It wasn't uncommon that people like this would show up from time to time. Ones who hid their faces and were secretive. They always brought some sort of trouble.
Sachi was pretty much used to it, as he walked up to them casually, with a tea tray still in his hand from the previous service.
The cloak shadowed his eyes, making him seem eerie and intimidating. The bottom of his jaw told Sachi that this person was pretty young. Probably in his late teens. Age ranged around 15 to 19, he was guessing.
The teen had sat himself down at one of the tables closest to the road, and a pair of black eyes glanced up to look at Sachi. A shiver ran down Sachi's spine.
"A cup of tea is fine." The teen said. Sachi was still distracted, and realized that he had been a second too slow to answering.
"It'll be here in a bit." Sachi walked down the two rows of tables and poured the tea into the cup. Strange. Why am I so unnerved?
He walked back over and sat the cup down in front of the stranger. With a mumbled 'thank you' from the teen, Sachi walked away, spotting two other grown men walking into the tea shop. They were regulars, so he knew who they were already.
The teen behind him started speaking. "Hey, I wanted to ask-"
"YOO Sachi! Did ya hear? About the coup in the next town over?"
Sachi wasn't startled with the regular's loud voice. He turned around with an apologetic look on his face. "Sorry. That's Gorou. He's always like this."
The teen nodded slowly, but also seemed interested in what Gorou was saying.
The said man was waltzing over and sat down at a nearby table next to the counter, along with his friend, Kenta. "Man, they say it was a bloodbath there. Wish I couldda seen it."
Sachi walked over to their table, which was only a few steps away from where he was already. "No, I haven't heard about it. What happened?" He asked. "And the usual?" Kenta nodded.
"I had already heard that the lord of that town was a big asshole, but I didn't know he was bad enough that the people there were so fed up that they attacked his place!"
Sachi was behind the counter, making the drinks. "Oh, really? When did this happen?"
"About a week ago! Makojin's in prison and a lad named Hashu's the leader now! Apparently he was the one who led the raid." He laughed as he took the two cups that Sachi had brought over. He took a long sip and gave a satisfied sigh after the taste. "Man, this stuff never gets old."
Sachi gave Gorou a smile. "Why, thank you, Gorou."
Kenta sat forward in his seat, drink also in his hand. "You know, that lord Makojin was always a coward who always made sure he was protected. There were these four amazing guards, I think they were shinobi. There's no way they could've just up and taken down four shinobi without training."
Sachi slipped himself into the seat next to Kenta, intent on listening to everything. It wasn't everyday a news of a coup d'état is spread. "Then how do you suppose they managed to take them down?"
