A/N: Before I start the book off, I want to explain that the two main POV's in this book will be Avalon and Kane, sometimes Michen and/or Mika. Now on with the book.
~Two Years Later~
"Here you go ma'am," I say, handing a woman in her thirties the basket of wheat. She smiles kindly and gives me a small curtsy before walking through the snow towards her small cottage. Celeste yawns from nearby, nearly blending in with the snow. I smileat my dragon as her icy blue eyes stare back into my piercing blue ones. Winter has begun in Abithia and so far, it has been chily, as all winters here. Michen is now 20 years old and searching for a wife. I walk along the small cobblestone path towards the barn of this smallfarm area to help the women in there with the horses.
I enter to see the two teenage girls grooming horses. The blonde grooms a chestnut horse, chatting with her brown haired friend, who is grooming a palomino. The blonde sees me and gasps and curtsies politely. Her friend doing the same after a second of confusion. I smile and give them each a nod.
"Thank you," I say kindly, "but you don't have to do that everytime I'm around," they blush and return to their grooming and their conversation as I walk into a nearby stall to groom the bay horse in there. I can't help but listen in on their conversation.
"I heard there will be a ball to help Michen choose a wife," the blonde says, "are you going?"
"Maybe," the brown head says, "if I do, I wouldn't have a dress to wear,"
"You can borrow one of mine," the blonde says.
"We will see," the brown haired girl says, "depends on if my parents let me go," after that, I can hear the hoofbeats of the horses as they are lead into their stalls and the girls' voices fading into the distance. I finish my job with the horse and exit the stall to see only three horses. I walk over to the small table and start making some feed for the horses. While I am making it, a nearby rake falls to the ground. I turn around and study the area around it has the horses neigh a bit, spooked slightly. Silence follows as I slowly turn back around to continue my work, prepared to grab my knife if needed.
Suddenly, the door right next to me slams shut, followed by the other two. Okay, something isn't right. I take my knife out of my boot and set it on the table and continue making the feed. I jump as arms wrap themselves around my waist and pulls me from the table. I scream, shocked as I am set back on the floor and turned around to face my attacker. I give him a glare and slap his shoulder.
"That wasn't funny, Kane," I say sternly as he smirks down at me.
"Maybe, but it was fun," he says, smiling down at me. I can't help but smile back. He leans down and captures my lips with his, snaking his arm around my waist, pulling my closer to him. I smile into the kiss as a fierce wind blows outside the door, sending snow and coldness at us.
"Kane," I say into the kiss, "we have work to get done," Kane sighs, disappointed. He pulls away and smiles at me.
"Fine," he says, faking a hurt look, "but we will continue later," I nod and smile. We finish the food and give it to the horses before leaving. I see the sun setting.
"We should get going," I say. Kane agress and we are about to head to our dragons when a soft voice whispers to us.
"Hi," a soft, little girl says with long black hair, cuddling a taddy bear. I smile when a huge burst of wind and sends the bear flying from her arms. The bear flies towards us and Kane grabs it and smiles. I wipe the few strands of hair from my face and watch with a smile on my face, as he walks over to the girl and bends down in front of her. She nervously bits her right hand nails, looking up at Kane with her big, brown eyes.
"I'm afraid you lost this, ma'am," Kane says, holding out the teddy bear to her. She smiles into her fingers and grabs the teddy bear with her left hand.Kane smiles and goes to stand back up, when the little girl bravely steps forward and wraps her arms around him in a hug. He freezes for a second before returning the hug. I smile at the scence in front of me. Soon the girl steps back when her mother calls for her from inside the house. She waves goodbye and skips away. Kane walks back over to me. I smile at him as we walk towards the dragons.
Kane's dragon, a very light gray dragon, almost white, named Sorth, rests near Celeste. We climb onto the backs of our dragons and fly off towards the palace.
~
We arrive back at the palace about three hours after the sun went down. I yawn as I slide off of Celeste's back and walk up the stairs into the palace. I see Michen arguing with my parents. I don't interfer, not wanting to make the situation worse. Instead, we go up to our room and fall asleep.

A/N:
I have a decent plot for this book, which will actually be split between two love stories while following the plot.
Thanks for reading!
