I look up when a guard approaches me. He looks worried. Please let Avalon be alright.

"Yes?" I ask, worried. He clears his throat.

"A mob is approaching the palace, and it is huge, with a few hundred men," the gaurd says. My eyes widen.

"Okay, take all the soldiers out there and hold them off," I say, knowing why they are here. The guard looks at me, confused.

"A-All the soldiers?" he asks, "what about you?" I look at him.

"I can handle myself well," I say, "we have defenseless people in this palace and we need to protect them," the guard nods and bows before leaving. I walk hurriedly down the hall and look over as Mika approaches me.

"Kane, I am going to help," she says firmly. I stop and turn to look at her.

"No you are not," I say sternly, "they are here for me, and I am not going to risk your life to protect my own. If I die, I die," Mika looks at me, shocked.

"Fine, I'll go help elsewhere," she says, "but don't just give into death! What about Avalon? How do you think she would feel if you died tonight!" I don't reply as I realize what she said was true.

"Alright, just make sure all the maids and servants are in the palace and hiding," I say, "I don't need any deaths," Mika nods and leaves but stops and turns around. She walks up to me and hugs me. I am shocked by this, but I return the hug.

"You would have made an excellant Emporer," she says softly before walking off. I look at the ground before snapping out of my thoughts and walking into Avalon and I's room and taking out my curved blade as a defense weapon. It wasn't long until I hear someone walking down the hall, opening every room, slowly, but surely, headng towards this room. I stand in front of the doors leading out to the balcony. The door opens and I hear a chuckle then I feel pain in my upper arm as an arrow nicks my shoulder, making a scratch. I turn to see a man standing there, tossing his bow aside before drawing his sword. He is the man who tried to propose to Avalon at the ball.

"Hello, Kane," he says, smiling, "this should have been done a long time ago," he then charges at me. I turn around and step out onto the balcony, the rain soaking me instantly. He leaps at me and I dodge, sending him flying over the railing. He grabs the back of my shirt and pulls be with him. We slide down the roof until we reach a platform on the roof.I stand up and grab my sword. Sram smirks but doesn't attack.

"Avalon is such a beautiful woman," he says, walking towards me, "shame she loves me more," my eyes widen a bit at what he says, but I don't let it affect me. He sees it and attacks. I block his sword and manage to send it out of his hand, but I also drop mine as well, no thanks to the rain. I step back as he gets closer.

"I proposed to her and she said yes and took off the ring you gave her and replaced it with mine, and boy, does it look better on her," I narrow my eyes at this, but can't help but feel hurt at this. He then leaps at me when I am lost in thought. I am pinned to the ground, head hanging over the edge of the platform as he has a knife at my throat, "oh and did I mention that she is expecting my child," pain flashes through my eyes at this. He raises the knife to kill me but I see movement on the balcony above me.

"Kane!" An all to familiar voice yells out to me. I look up to see Avalon on the balcony, her black hair soaked. But as I look at her, pain runs through me, "Sram no!" she yells out. Sram pauses and looks up at Avalon. At this, I push him off and he goes flat on his back with a smack. I stand up and grab the knife and point it at him. He looks up at me in fear.
