DAY 1
I narrowed my eyes as I told the freshmen to clear the way. They were staring at me, like I was a specimen. I brushed off the weird thoughts and ran to the cafeteria.
Some sophomores were standing by the cafeteria's door- joking around. I looked into the eyes of a blonde and shrugged.
I didn't know if my ears were ringing or they were actually chanting this. "He shall find you." They seemed to say. "He will find you and crush you."
"No, he won't." I said, out loud. The students gave me a weird stare, but I just ignored them.
I grabbed April's shoulders as I saw her with Miley and Zoe. "April, my best friend, save me."
She lifted her brow. Before she could ask me anything, I slid under the table, hiding from sight.
Miley, my other friend, titled her head to her right. "What happened, Amy?"
"He's coming." I said, gulping. "He saw me today. He saw me in the class."
"What are you talking about?" April asked. "Since when do you get panic attacks?"
"What, no!" I said, hitting my head to the table. "Ouch. I'm fine."
"Then why are you hiding?" Zoe asked. "And from whom?"
"Him." I said. The students were still on the door, and now one of them was looking straight at me. "That guy is looking at me."
April might have rolled her eyes, I couldn't see. "No, Amy, he isn't. He's pointing to something behind us."
"I surely hope so." I said. "You guys are the best, will you please tell me if he comes?"
"Who comes?" Miley asked. "Is it a guy?"
"What?!" I shrieked. "You guys haven't heard about it. That means no one's heard about it. Right?"
"We don't know." Zoe reminded me.
I sighed. "Right. Someone's been following me for the last three days and I'm shit scared."
"Well, who's following you?" April asked, looking under the table. Her hair was hanging around a gum stuck under the table. I moved it away.
"Logan." I said. I quickly checked the door, and was relived to not see him there.
"Logan?" Zoe asked. At the same time, Miley said, "Oh. My. God."
"What?" Zoe asked again. "You mean Logan? Logan Miller?"
"Yeah," I said. "The devil himself."
"Um," Miley said, probably stopping the urge to say something. When she couldn't hold it in any longer, she said, "Admit it. He's a cute devil."
"Don't you ignore the horns." I pointed out. "Stop fangirling, Miley."
"I'm sorry." Miley said, softly. I gave her a tight - lipped smile. I started thinking about all the the sins I committed in my life. In such a crucial situation, everything I ever did in my life seemed like a sin. "Remind me, please, have I done anything wrong in the past week?"
"Wrong," Zoe asked. "Like what?"
"Probably hit a girl," I started thinking. "Stolen candy from someone."
"Pfft." April's voice said. "You think that is why Logan Miller is following you?"
"I can't think of a reason why he's following me." I said. "So, if you can.."
