DAY 10
Buzz. I rolled my eyes as I phone rang again, four times in a row. I stopped applying my nail polish and checked it. All the four messages were from Logan. All of them read: Sorry, I'm sorry, I'm so so sorry and fine, I'll behave myself with Erin tonight.
I smiled, this is what I wanted to hear. I quickly typed back a reply- good, and tonight, I am hoping to get a reply from you saying that you like Erin, if you like her. Right?
His reply came almost immediately. YES, YES, ma'am. God, A - Lady, I freaked out that I made you mad today. Thank you.
You did make me mad. And shut up, L- Man. I replied.
It's my face that got me forgiven, right? I always knew my face was capable of wonders. He messaged back.
I laughed. No, you're mistaken. I'm a very kind person. That's the reason I forgave you.
He didn't reply for a minute or so. I was considering going back to my nail paint. Then his reply came. Either way, thanks. I love you!
My heart skipped a beat and I felt I was running circles and laps in Olympics. That was the kind of rush. Well, I can't say the same. I replied.
Haha, I believe you. He sent back, probably being sarcastic. I thought of replying, then I thought I would look very clingy, so I let it be.
Taylor knocked on the door softly and asked, "Can I come in?"
"Come on in." I said. He smiled and sat on my study table. "Hey, what's up?"
"Exactly," he said, twisting his mouth. "Mom was saying you're being friendly with Logan Miller."
"Well, we aren't friends.." I started, but I didn't want to lie to my brother. "I am sorry. Yeah, we're friends."
He laughed. "You like him." He said, eyeing me. "I don't mind; he's a fine guy. Very different from his sister, actually. But he may be magnet to trouble."
I didn't bother to comment on the first part of what he said. "We aren't dating and will not. You don't need to worry about me."
He scratched the back of his head. "Whom am I kidding? I wanted to talk the talk with you, but you're mature enough."
"That, I am." I said, grinning. "Let's go to the library, shall we?"
----
Buzz. My phone rang again. For a split second, I thought it was Logan calling. I was half asleep, tired of waiting for Logan, but it wasn't him. I picked the call and said, "Yep?"
"How's my bridesmaid?" Lena asked. "I cannot believe my wedding is in like, four days."
"What?" I shrieked. It has been a week and half already. The prom was in three days- and I hadn't made any progress. "Oh, yeah! I totally zoned out."
