later that day... it was silent in the car you know that awkward silence, with mattias music playing. "so what's your mom making." "i don't know" i shrug. i put my earbuds, lowering my window and folding my arms with my face out and the wind hitting it. the breeze felt nice. i've felt so trapped i don't know what to do with my life. it's like i've messed everything up. maybe i have. we pull up in the driveway and mattia pulls the keys out looking at me. *sigh* "what?" i ask. he gives me a long stare,like he's looking at nothing out in the distance. "nothing." he gets out quickly slamming the door behind him. i open the front door to see my mom waiting like she knew we were here. "finally, i thought you two were never going to get here!" "it's 3:05 ma, we just got out?" i say giving my mom a confused look. "ah si but i-." "hi." mattia reaches in for a hug. "oooo i miss hugging you kiddo." "same here..." "well sit down, dinners ready." *sits down, now eating* "so mattia..." my mom pauses. "yes?" "how's school been?" "good i guess, stressful." "oh sorry to hear that. if you ever need help i'm here." "thank you." "so what have you two been up to lately ehh?" i look into my moms eyes eyeing her, my eyes widening. "maa..." i mumble. "what?" "um i think i have to go now, thank you for everything. dinner was delicious." "so soon?" my mom asks. "i have to help my dad out with some things, sorry." "no worry, would you like to take some food home?" "nooo thank you." "you sure?" "i have to go bye!" "bye!" "bye." i say. finally. my mom closes the front door slowly turning to me. "venus whats up with you?" "nothing....why?" "you were so quiet today and well, you kept looking at me every time i-." "mom..." i pause. "i have to go to kairis house to study. can i?" "uhh fine after you help me pick up everything but we have to talk once you come back." uh. "ok."
