Selena turned to Anemone, Ilmatar and Aden. "What will you do now?"
Aden looked at his companions, "We must go on, we have to go to the Pit. It is waiting for me."
"I guess I knew that", Selena reassured herself that this was the right thing.
Ilmatar looked at her and blurted out, "Why don't you come with us? There always seems to be room for one more."
"Do you not hate me, now that you know who I am?"
Anemone could have used this opportunity to push Selena away, she did not fancy having her join the group, but instead sympathised, "Why would we hate you, you are not your father. You are you and you are brave, you saved us."
"I suppose my time has ended here, none of the monks will forgive me for this. I have broken many rules. I should redeem myself and see the end of this book."
Aden gestured her to come along.
They turned towards the crossing, Selena turned one last time to look at Kirjuri. "Goodbye, my home."
Aden, Anemone, Selena and Ilmatar were headed towards completing Aden's mission no matter the cost. That road would lead them towards the only place where they could find the knowledge Aden needed to become what his destiny had intended, The Pit.
