Sarah
My sister had always known me better than anyone else in this world. Emiline Roses knew exactly what I'm afraid of, and she knows why. She's always been the one to protect me from lots of my fears.
So tell me why she was the one to get me in this situation.
Halloween was our favorite holiday, even though we always fought about the costumes. I didn't expect much difference from that pattern, but I never thought to expect what was going to come.
"I found the perfect costume for us this year!" Emily basically sung her words as she bounced into the room excitedly.
I'd simply glanced up from the pizza I'd just bitten into.
"Considering I was the boy last year, I found a costume where we could both be girls!" She announced proudly, as it was obvious she put a lot of thought into this. Her smile quickly fell, "That's if you still wanted to do a sister costume thing."
I could tell this girl assumed I'd ditch her for my new friend. I rolled my eyes, laughing. "Duh. What's the costume?"
Emily seemed visibly relieved, and I saw more excitement return to her eyes before she could surprise me with the concept.
"Princess and the Pauper! Remember how we used to put on pink and blue dresses and cheap plastic crowns, singing the songs? Yeah well, now we can do it like adults!" She squealed, holding her phone to her chest.

Cutting straight to the day before Halloween, I found myself stuck in a chaotic chase with this crazed pyscho holding a cheap disgusting brown hair dye spray.
"I'M NOT DYING MY HAIR, EMILINE! GET THAT FREAKING HAIR DYE AWAY FROM ME!" I shrieked, bolting and swerving to dodge her badly aimed sprays at my gorgeous blonde hair.
"You can't have blonde hair or it won't be accurate! I dyed my hair green for Chat Noir last year!!" Emily argued as she screamed back, "IT'S YOUR TURN!"
Like that was a good reason?!
"NUH-UH, YOU MADE THAT CHOICE, FREAKING WEIRDO! I CAN BE ERIKA WITH THE BLONDE WIG ON!" I skid across the room, escaping her as I grabbed on to the door handle and clung to it with all my body weight.
Did she forget that dying my hair was an actual phobia?? I was so enraged with that girl in that moment, as well as equally terrified to be in the same room with her.
"No, that's Erika disguised as Annaliese and we both can't be Annaliese because Erika has no reason to be Annaliese when she's not kidnapped! Also you would look fantastic with brown hair, so let me dye your hair brown, gosh dang it!!" Emily explained as she held the can up like an actual weapon.
Oh yeah, because being movie-accurate was definitely a good enough explanation for me to face my life-long fear. That made so much sense. SO. Much.
I threw the door open and booked it down the hall, to which Emily tried to chase me down as she wasted the nasty fart-looking sprays from the can with her attempts,
Unfortunately for her, I was an athlete and Emily happened to be extremely non-athletic. I bursted out of the hall, down the stairs, and out of the student dormitory building while surely, my sister was just making her way to the door to the stairs.
Maybe I was safe from my sister physically, but technologically, I couldn't say the same. Emily made contact with me via Instagram direct messages in an attempt to change my mind.
