About 2-3 months had passed. A time full of torture. There was a new transfer who was introducing himself in home room. I wasn't paying much attention at all and was talking to Jace until I heard,
"So hey guys. My name is Ryan. Ryan Parker." I heard the kid said inattentively while ruffling through his golden brown hair.
That name sounded familiar. I've heard that somewhere.
I snapped my head up to look and that's when I saw, him. He was my very first. crush. ever. In my last school almost the whole school knew that I had a crush on him and I was constantly getting picked on about it.
Flashback-
"Aww you like Ryan? But I heard he only likes pretty girls, sorry Emma." One of the girl said following laughs by other students."Emma don't listen to them, anyways can you help me do my homework pleaseeee?" Ryan suddenly said to me.
"Sure, uh... ca.. can I sit with you during... lunc-" I said shyly before getting interrupted.
"Thanks so much I need to go somewhere." He waved and ran off.
Sometimes I couldn't get him. Sometimes he was nice to me but sometimes a little mean to me. But I still really liked him.
Back to present-
Now that I'm older, I think he was always just leading me on and getting me to do his stuffs for him. When I always think back about him, I think of how dumb I was and that I should stand up to him and tell him no. I've always imagined if I were to meet him again I would act differently. But now that he's standing right in front of me... it was different. He hasn't changed much. He still had that perfect fluffy golden brown hair; a pair of clear blue eyes and a charisma I can't seem to reject. My heart was thumping so loud it's like I could hear it and I felt butterflies in my stomach. Then Ryan went to Jay and I think they were fist bumping and all.
He knows Jay?
"Ok so let's carry on with class." Miss Claire carries on.
*Ringggg*
Finally it was lunch time. I was walking with Jace when we bumped into Ryan. Thoughts flushed in all of a sudden. What should I say to him? Should I be nice? Should I not? Will he remember me? Will he be nice or mean?
"Hey." Ryan said. "You're Emma aren't you." He smirked.
"Y..ya." I blushed. Really bad.
"Wait, aren't you- you look familiar, wait wait wait let me think." He suddenly turned to Jace. "Aren't you the weird kid in middle school? You changed schools after three months or something. Why are you even here. What's this? A middle school reunion?"
Wait what!? What's he talking about?
I turned to Jace looking confused. A sudden realisation hit me.
"You were a kid in my middle school." I gasped.
"Yea whatever, anyways Emma, send me the homework, I wasn't paying attention, oh, if there are essays help me do them. Thanks" Ryan said expressionless while having both his hands tucked in his pockets.
I nodded, I should have said no. Why couldn't I just say no!
Ryan scoffed. "You haven't changed at all have you?" He then walks away.
"No she's not doing that for you." Jace cut in.
Ryan stopped and turned "Wow, you sure have changed a lot haven't you?"
