23. Kushali

Zooming out from the warehouse, he pressed the button in his hand. With a deafening sound, the warehouse blasted.
Taking one last look at the burning warehouse, Arnav smirked, “goodbye jiju, hope you rest in peace at least in heaven”

Vasundhara looked at the burning warehouse with tears. She just wished that she could change whatever happened. Her eyes turned red thinking about the past.

Composing herself, she looked at her team members who were sitting silently. Their faces were expressionless. She could understand their emotions, since she was going through the same.

Ranvijay approached them and spoke in a grave voice “the tracker is not working. He is so clever and cunning, but he forgot that he can't hide for long. I have an intuition. I guess we can find him in a particular place, where it all started.”

Hearing his words, the entire team understood the next course of action.

Finishing some formalities, they reached the City hospital.

Leaving the Raizada matriarch at home with her daughter in law, Anjali and Swara were waiting before the emergency ward.

With no more tears to shed, they were sitting silently.

The always brave and composed Savita Gupta, was sitting near Swara and Aman with closed eyes.

Upon hearing the footsteps, the three of them noticed the CBI team's presence.

Exactly at the same time, the doctors came out and informed them  “you are lucky, all three are safe. It's really a miracle. You can meet them after they are shifted to their respective wards. They need…. “

Before the doctor could complete, Shyam, Sonakshi and Dev came out hurriedly.

“BB, Titli needs us. We have to go and save her. I know where she will be. Kushali Di told me.”

Bewildered, everyone was looking at her.

Sonakshi got frustrated and started panicking “don't waste time!! He has got Titli and Di wants us to reach our home as soon as possible. Dev, Shyam Bhai, arrange the transport. Chief, there is something you need to know. He is safe. But still unstable. His vitals are improving, but it may take time, regarding the papers which we were searching, they are at the Raizada Mansion's study room. Those can wait. Now we need to move fast, otherwise, that Arnav will kill our Titli. Come on!!!!”

Immediately, the entire group left the hospital after making sure that Sonakshi, Dev and Shyam were fit enough to travel.

Together, the entire CBI team, Jha family, Savita Gupta, Aman alias Kushal and the remaining members of the Raizada family,  reached Shimla in a private jet.

Savita Gupta narrated the remaining tale to everyone during the journey.

“The Jha family and Gupta family are distant relatives. 12 years ago, Shyam came to me with a request, to take care of Kushal and Tamannah, I mean Sonakshi. Kushi, the youngest, was admitted in the hospital. That was the time when I had lost my only soon and daughter in law in a freak accident. When the doctors declared that Kushi forgot her past, it was a blessing in disguise. We made her believe that she was my granddaughter and the only survivor in the accident that killed my son and his wife. She started living her life.

Kushal and Tamannah changed their names, they frequently contacted me to know about Kushi. When Devyani approached me for Kushi's hand in marriage to her grandson, I was surprised. Before I could refuse, Kushi agreed.

Aman and Sona were  furious, and they wanted me to convince Kushi not to marry that monster. But Kushi had some other game plan in her sleeve. She was adamant in marrying him.
We couldn't change her decision. She said that she needed this marriage to crack some case. So we decided that she will always be under watch. Shyam took care of her during her stay at the Raizada mansion.”
