Why should you forget? Memories were made to last forever anyways.

You were ecstatic to spend you day with Makoto. Both of you were just friends before, but later on you started to feel something for him.

He was your hope. Your happiness.

Ever since you got that text to hangout with him you've never been happier. You probably stared at that text the whole day when he sent it. You've hung out with him before, but it was you, Kyoko, and Makoto together.

When you found out you were just hanging out with him. Your heart fluttered. You couldn't even sleep that night. 'I'm so excited, to finally be with you Makoto, maybe I can finally tell him how I feel for once...' You thought to yourself. Your face turned into a shade of pink before drifting off to sleep for the night.

You woke up that morning. Grabbing your phone and texting your best friend, Sonia Nevermind. "I am so glad that you're going to finally be with him y/n! I've known how much you've wanted this to happen." She texted you. "I know, it feels like a dream!" You responded to her. "Have fun y/n! I wish the best for the both of you." She replied. "Thanks Sonia, I'm going to get ready now, I'll let you know how it goes!"

You then put your phone down and got ready. You got dressed in a nice outfit you were planning to wear the night before. You styled your hair nicely. 'I hope this will impress him.' You thought. You picked up your phone and keys then left your house.

The both of you were going to the park nearby your house. It was a very beautiful, almost romantic place. With cherry blossom trees and a nice big fountain. As you arrived there you saw Makoto.

"Hey y/n!" Makoto shouted. "Over here!" He waved at you. 'He's so adorable." You thought. "So wanna just walk around?" You asked Makoto. "Sure!" He replied happily with a smile.

You both walked on the pathway with pink blooming cherry blossom trees on the sides. You looked around to see kids playing, couples walking around, holding hands, looking happy with each other. 'I really wish that could happen to me.' You thought to yourself. Then, Makoto started to talk about, her.

"Hey so I heard Kyoko is like busy with a case so that's why she couldn't come." He said. When he said that, you felt your heart break into a million pieces, you thought it was just gonna be a special day with you and Makoto only. "Wait you mean you were going to invite her?!" You responded to him. "Of course! I would love her to come so the 3 of us could hang out." "She's doing some complex case right now, really tough stuff. It's so cool that she can do those kinda things, it's really interesting." He started to ramble on about Kyoko.

'Kyoko this Kyoko that!' As much as she was your friend, you were jealous of Makoto always talking about her, always admiring her. You weren't his happiness, she was. He was just being your friend because he felt bad to see you alone of abandon you. As he was talking, you snapped.

"Kyoko is just so-" You interrupted him. "Makoto! I'm done!" You shouted at him. "W-what y/n? What's wrong? Did I say something." He responded to you. "It's always her right?! It always was." He looked at you confusingly. "Forget it." You said to him. You could feel your eyes watering then turned and walked away from him at a fast pace, not looking back. "Y/n! Y-y/n come back!" He shouted at you while running. You then started to sprint. You were just going to leave him because that's what he would've wanted, he would've wanted to be with her anyways. Then you ran home, closed the door, ran upstairs, then flopped on your bed, sobbing on your pillow.

"It's always her! It always was her!" You shouted to yourself. "I couldn't compare anyways. I was never good enough." The one thing you loved most, your happiness, your hope, didn't even feel the same way for you. You then continued to sob. You heard notifications and calls coming from you phone. You checked to see who it was. It was Makoto. You simply ignored it and threw your phone across your bed. "Why don't you do that to Kyoko instead!?" You shouted at your phone. "I need to forget it all, I need to move on and forget him.

Let them be happy. Let him be happy." You then hugged your pillow tightly, then drifted off to sleep that night.
