Brian’s POV

Leaving the restaurant after securing the bills from the food she order, I went to the parking lot while taking my phone to call my driver to make sure she went home safely.

After everything is done and she is secure I went to the driver set and drive my car to an old warehouse.

Fucking assholes.

I trusted the work to be done smoothly but instead of hearing good news all I have is bad news.

I step on the gas to drive faster and I don’t fucking care if I am driving faster. Fuck that traffic rules.

I spotted the warehouse and stop in front of it. It is an old warehouse. The door is busted, some roofs are missing , holes on the wall and some moss on the wall.

I went inside and saw my men around a man being tied and the chair.

When they saw me enter they all bow their heads and make way towards the man. His hands were tied in the chair, face with bruises and busted lips.

“You have guts to betray me” I said coldly looking at him while he cowers in fear.

“Who are you working for?” I ask not leaving my gaze at him.

When he didn’t answer I easily take a gun from my men beside me and shot his thigh. He screams in pain but never said a word.

“What did he do again?” I ask leaving my eyes from him to my men in the left and back at him.

“He sabotage the truck that’s going to carry the items. He is also give info to other mafias about the transaction that’s about to happen earlier” he said.

“And the items?” I ask

“They are safe, we take them to the safe again. We also inform Mr. Sweve that the transaction will continue tomorrow because of the unpleasant event”

“Who are you working for?” I ask James while I grip his hair tightly making him look upward directly to me.

“And why would I tell you? You deserve it!” he shouted.

“Really? So I think you also deserve to know that your wife and son deserve to be…gone” his face looks pale after what I said. His like a fish opening his mouth but immediately close because of loss of words.

“You can’t trick me. They are safe!”

“Oh man, what do you think about Brian? Stupid? This is the reason why everyone is being killed. They didn’t know who are they talking to” a voice said from the entrance of the warehouse.

From the familiar and irritating voice of it, I know it’s George. George Waylon, the same age as mine. I can say he is my closest friend since we were in grade school until we now.

I didn’t know how we became friends as we are like south and north pole. But I guess that is how life works. Or just like what they said, opposite do attract. He may be annoying sometimes but he is trustworthy.

He walk slowly until he came in beside me. He even has the audacity to put his hands on my shoulder tapping me in the process.

“Look closely at this face. Do you think he has time for making jokes?” he ask pointing my face. I just smack his hands away from me and roll my eyes.

“And where the hell were you at the time of this event? I told you to monitor the transaction” I said looking at him.

He put his hands under his chin and look above as if he is thinking.
