“You need to sign it here and here. Then after that I am just going to pass this to the judge and everything will be yours” he said and I nodded placing my signature where it needed.

“And this” he said place a book in the center.

I examined the book. It has a black leather cover outside. It also have a tie outside to secure the book to not be open. I untie the ribbon and flip some pages until I came to the back where the pages are blank.

“My mom’s journal?” I ask making sure and nodded.

“After I have this, expect the money to be transferred in your account” he explained and I shake my head.

“No” I said rather immediately making him furrows his brows.

“I mean, I don’t want my father to know about this. I am not sure if he is still checking my bank or not. Can you make another bank account for me? Keep the money there” I said looking at him hopefully.

He thinks for a moment before he nodded making me sign in relief.

“Okay, I’ll just inform you if everything is fine. Need anything else” he ask and I shake my head no.

“Thank you” I said smiling at him before hugging him.

“For everything” I whisper and he tap my back.

“Always” he said before we separated.

“You better make sure, that this journal cannot be found by anyone. I didn’t read anything inside it. It is your mom’s request that I respect” he said shuffling my hair and I quickly slap it away making him laugh.

I stay there for more hours talking and everything coping with each other’s life that we missed.

He also told me how he and Crystal meet because of my mom. After that we spent our time just watching movies as their as also a television here.

And before I know it the sun is already setting down. I quickly bid my goodbye to him. He reminded me also that he’ll just inform me about the progress of my request and the transfer. I nodded at him and wave good bye.

I call a taxi again and told him the location.

Few minutes later I am in front of Brian’s house. As I enter the living room I sense something odd. It doesn’t give any chills or something. It is just that I feel something wrong.

I went to the kitchen only to meet emptiness. Where is Lucinda? I look at my watch and saw it is six thirty.

That’s weird. Does she really always leave early? I just shrug it off and went into my room only to see Brian in my bed, arm cross in his chest, stare as cold as eyes and of course the everyday angry look but this time he looks more furious.

He look at me up and down while slowly examining me. I furrowed my brows in his action and unintentionally step back. “Wh-what’s wrong w-with you?” I ask, can’t help but to stammer because of his intense look. He looks like a predator ready to devour his prey.

“Where have you been?” he ask with his voice so deep.

“And why would I tell you?” I answer back and slightly jump when my back hit the wall behind me. When I look back at him he is already close to me, our faces just inches apart.

“May I remind you that your my wife now” he said taking a strand of my hair behind my back.

“And it is my business to know” he added looking directly at my eye before his gaze went down to my lips back to my eyes.
