Chapter 7

Percy's POV:

I probably shouldn't have body-slammed Luke into a locker but at the moment I couldn't really say that I cared all that much. He definitely deserved it. Now here I am in an emergency room waiting for a very bruised Jason to wake up. My heart ached as a looked over his beaten body, the image not bringing up many good memories. I'd been in the hospital for a few hours and so far Jason hadn't stirred. I sighed and shifted in my seat. The sun was just starting to set but I couldn't sleep. Not while Jason was hurt. I laughed at my own thoughts. Funny how he meant so much to me even though I'd only known him a few hours. He just seemed so perfect. I have to admit that I might just have the smallest crush on him.

I took a sip of my hot chocolate and headed out to the hospital lobby. Piper and Annabeth had told me they were going to stop by so I picked up donuts for them on the way. I kept wondering where Jason's parents were. I'd been here for the last 8 hours and so far the only visited he'd had was an assistant?? Sure I knew his dad was Zeus Grace but still his own son was in the hospital and he didn't even show up?? That's a huge jerk move. I really hoped Jason had a better home-life than I thought he did, I wouldn't want anything to happen to that boy. "Hey Percy!" Annabeths voice cut through my thoughts, "omg we heard what happened is Jason okay!??" Piper and Annabeth ran up to me breathless. "Yeah, he's okay now...I can't say the same for Luke though." Wincing at the memory of Luke's body being thrown against a locker, I couldn't say I regretted it though. "Yeah that's fine though, serves him right, he's such a pervert!" Piper said in a disgusted tone. Annabeth just nodded her head. "Okay well, I got you guys donutsss! But let's head up to his room and then I'll give you them." They both looked at me, grinned, and ran after me down the hallway.

Annabeth and Piper have just left, but there's still no sign of Jason waking up. He got hit pretty hard. I decided my mom deserved another call, I needed to tell her I planned on staying another night. I stood up and made my way to the door, but then I heard a few grunts and a faster beeping from the machine and I whirled around. "Percy?"
