" hey dad, what's up" Bokuto picked the phone up and plopped himself on the bed relaxing his right arm on his forehead while talking with his dad on a messenger call.

"yo, you're up early!"
"that's cus you woke me up! Hmph"
" hahaha, anyways how's school?"

" mmm fine, it's the holidays so I'm not really busy with anything right now, what about you?" Bokuto asked his dad.

"doin' great, my officemates are so friendly and awesome. They remind me of you!"

"what..? Why? Do they look like me?"

" hahahah no!" his dad laughed out of the context due to Bokuto's usual confusion and stupid assumptions.

"aha oki well, I'm glad you're having fun dad!"

" yeah I'm doing very well in here.. I called cus uh I wanted to tell you something.." his dad said with obvious hesitation in his tone.

" hm? What is it?"

" I think our flight will be sooner than we planned.."

...

"What?" The tall boy rose from his position and sprung up from the bed. He widened his eyes and looked at the phone.

" when exactly are we leaving?" Bokuto almost exclaimed, trying to stop his tears from flowing down.

" um.. Next week. "

" what?? Next week's too soon! I haven't even told my teammates about anything. It was supposed to be in four months! What happened?"
Bokuto couldn't calm himself down. Next week would be his last week playing his favorite sport with his favorite people. It was no shock that he would get this furious.

" I'm so sorry champ. I did tell you to tell them sooner since our flight date isn't consistent. I warned you that It could be moved nearer or farther.. I'm really really sorry buddy."

".. I.. I need to go"

"w-wait Boku-"

Bokuto ended the call without even saying goodbye to his father, he couldn't let his dad finish his sentence since he wasn't sure of the things he would say next.

This can't be happening, I don't wanna leave yet. I'm not ready.

I can't bring myself up to talk to my teammates about this sort of thing. I promised them that I'd be their captain until I graduate.. I also promised Akaashi that I'll..

I knew I was leaving this whole time but now that I have less than a month.. I actually can't meet them up..
