"Akaashi?! Are you okay?" Mrs. Akatani rushed to her son's side after seeing him in pain clenching his head.
".. Migraine"
Is this another flashback? All the other previous flashbacks have been nothing but useless. They just appear in my mind but I don't remember them happening to me. I feel nothing and it's just a mere memory that I don't recall.
...
"Akaaaaashi! Look, I found a pearl's home!"
"that called a seashell, you found a really beautiful one Bokuto-san"
"it's glowing. Kinda like how you are like now"
"??"
"you're glowing right now. It's beautiful" Bokuto said with a smile and quickly ran away to bury the seashell he found under the ground to keep it there forever.
...
What the.. That flashback actually happened. I remember it. I REMEMBER IT!
"Mom, I saw something, it happened. It really did!" Akaashi gasped out from his migraine and happily yelled out what he saw.
"y-you remember something?" Mrs. Akatani in shock, hugged her son tightly and sobbed on his shoulder.
"yes.. I remember going to the beach with Bokuto-San months ago. He.. He also went to our home for a sleepover"
"oh I'm so glad those flashbacks finally mean something to you. I was getting worried you'd never remember anything" Akaashi's mom cried as she tries to speak.
That memory was so clear. I even remember the feeling of being there.
But why that specific memory? What was so special about that day..
I have to know."Mom. Can you bring me to that same beach Bokuto and I went before? I just have to check something" Akaashi pleaded.
"..I guess it's okay to bring you out now. So why not, let's go?"
"thank you mom" Akaashi stood up and got ready to leave. He changed his clothes and hurried to the car.
"so what was it that you wanted to check?" Mrs. Akatani asked while driving to the beach a few kilometers away.
"I wanna see if the seashell he buried is still there"
"huh? Akaashi, a hundred people go to that beach every week. I don't think that small seashell would still be there"
"he didn't just bury it in any pile of sand.. Maybe finding it would lead me why I remembered it out of the many flashbacks I had" Akaashi persistently explained, looking out the window while his mom drives.
...
"we're here"
"thank you mom for driving me" Akaashi smiled and ran to the sand. He went over to a specific large rock and checked under it. The rock was so heavy and big, it cannot be washed away by the waves nor can be moved by other people visiting that beach. Akaashi looked under and as he expected, there it was. Written with a bright blue marker was the statement that Bokuto wrote the last time they were there.
-Bokuto and Akaashi here! Don't steal the seashell, if you do, I'm clalign the cops!-
It was the same written statement he saw Bokuto writing on the rock a few months ago. The misspelled word, the bright blue marker that he used and.. The seashell buried under the sand under the rock.
Akaashi dug the seashell out and the moment his fingers touched it, he felt another migraine at the back of head, shooting sharp pain through his forehead.
...
After seeing another flashback, Akaashi fell to the sand while the wind carefully brushed his hair, the waves reaching his feet as he sat down and think about what he saw.
So that's why it was so significant. That moment..
...
"You're glowing right now. It's beautiful"
...
That was the moment I fell in love with him.
