"Hey Bokuto wake up, someone's at the door looking for you" Bokuto's mother shakes him up to wake him for his deep sleep. Bokuto rose from his volleyball-themed bed, rubbed his eyes and yawned.
"huuUuh~ who's there so early in the morningggg"
"it's 10 already, I didn't want to wake you cus you looked really tired from last night" Bokuto's mom explains while fixing her son's messy bed hair.
"ohh.. Yeah I couldn't sleep" Bokuto walked slowly to the door whole scratching his head, not minding whoever is behind their front door.
"who is ittt-

"Haruki? Why.. Why are you here? And how did you know where I live"
"oh uhm"
"Hello there! Haruki, the captain of RedEagles right? Please do come in, what are you doing Bokuto, not letting such a gentleman go in our house!" Bokuto's mom happily opened the door even wider and let Haruki in for some beverages.
"So Haruki, what brings you here to our humble abode?"
When did mom start using words like that, you only hear them in TV shows🙄
"Ah I was just passing by to invite Bokuto to this newly opened restaurant nearby. I called my other teammates so It'd be impolite if I didn't invite Bokuto-kun as well" Haruki grinned.
Now that I know Haruki tried to manipulate me last night, I can't look at him properly anymore. Why did he even do that! It wasn't like him at all! I wanna ask him but I don't think I can..
"oh I'm so glad my son has a friend who's so thoughtful! But I'm afraid Bokuto has been recently grounded due to his actions this past week. I'm so sorry, he'll still be at practice though, that's for sure" Bokuto's mom explained while pouring a glass of water for their guest.
"ohh is that so.. I'm so sorry, I was the one who invited Bokuto to that party. I'm at fault here and I would like to take responsibility"
"oh no no, it was his doing so you don't have to worry, Haruki!"
My mom has always been so nicey nicey to guests. Once Haruki announces his leave, mom will bring out at least five of her casseroles in precious Tupperwares, covered in foil for take-away.
Well, I don't want to be around Haruki right now. I don't get what he did and why he did such a thing. Right now, I need to call Akaashi and apologize.
"um can I be excused? I have an important thing to get to" Bokuto said before he ran all the way to his bedroom to find his phone and try contacting Akaashi.
"Hello?"

"AKAASHI! I AM SO SORRY I DIDN'T CALL THIS WEEK. THERE WERE SO MANY-
"Bokuto-San, it's okay. Are you alright? I'm so glad you called. "
"huh? Oh yeah I'm fine. I'm just grounded but other than that, I'm fine. What about yo-

"Bokuto-San? Why did you stop talking? Is there something wrong?" Akaashi asked on the other end of the call when he hears the boy stop abruptly.
"C-can you say that again?"
"can I say what?"
"the one you said to me"
"the Bokuto-San, it's okay. Are you alright.. I'm so glad you called?"
"Akaashi.. Do you.. Do you remember me again?"
