My home (Completed)

              It had been a week since the night of truth and dare. Carl and I hadn't talked about it either although the following morning had been awkward which gave me hope that he had a thing for me too. And I had long quit my job and also moved in with the girls as Ni worried that he would find me and finish what he wanted from me so I would be safer if I didn't live alone and that had made me love them more and literally they were my best friends. Essy had introduced me to his mom who owned a factory of chocolate and I had been promised an interview any time an open slot showed up so I had been called the night before and asked to go for my interview the following day which was that day. The girls would go to college and leave me in the apartment.
And I had insisted on helping with rent but they had told me it were there parents paying so I had settled on buying groceries now and then.

            I arrived at Landon sweets factory at exactly 10 am as I had been requested and I found Essy loitering around sucking a sweet. He smiled on seeing me
      "Hi, I see you really need the job. I am sorry it took long."he mumbled hugging me briefly.
         "That's okay. After all easy come, easy go so I hope the wait is worth it."I said adjusting my Lacy shirt , it was actually for Jack but he had told me to take it when I had returned it.
         "Your smart " I mumbled a thanks."and don't mind my mom's strictness. Just don't show her that it creeps you out."I nodded at the advice and when a beautiful smartly dressed lady called my name, I made my way to the elevator.

            "I got it."I almost shrieked on stepping out of the elevator. Essy hugged me in congratulations and swung me around happily.
          "Told you she was nice."I laughed shaking my head.
          "So serious though, I almost pissed myself ."Essy laughed with me as though he knew what I was talking about. Anyway I was sure he knew since it was his mom we were talking about.
           "I owe you big time, thanks."I smiled at him which he returned.
           "Why don't you take me to the beach and buy me a whole fish."he said. "I promise it's not as expensive as it sounds."he added on seeing my pointed look as though I was worried about my pockets which truth be told I was. But agreed anyway so we made for his car to get to the beach.

                   We arrived at the beach at 2pm and I was grateful for the cool air by the beach since it was a hot day. We went in the beach restaurant and ordered a whole fish then fries for each of us. And he chose to drink lemon juice which I chose as well considering it sounded tasty.
               "I wonder where Carl is, I thought he bay watches here. And his shift is done for all I know."said Essy. My heart lept in joy.
          "He does?"I asked as if to be sure.
                Just then a sexy Carl appeared by the entrance of the restaurant. He was clad in floral shorts and no shirt, I really didn't know he was a bay watcher. His somewhat defined abs worth a second look and his neck chain complemented his tanned skin. God, couldn't he just ask me out. Essy waved him over to where we were and he smiled on seeing us and started for our table. His eyes lingering on me a bit. Did I mention how light they were but on that night of the kiss I had closely looked at them and they were grey, a very light grey.

           "So I heard you helped prim get a job?"he asked. Essy nodded sipping on his lemon juice which had been brought shortly before Carl arrived at the table.
            "That's nice, rich boy."he commented and Essy laughed heartily at the nick name. Then he turned to me.
              " So what's your job?"
              "Temporary Secretary of the marketing manager"I replied
         "Temporary?"he was clearly confused. So I added.
           "The actual secretary is on maternity leave and when she returns, I will be given something else."I explained and he nodded, a small smile playing on his lips. Soon our food was brought and Carl ordered his own plate of fries so we could all share the whole fish. Essy paid along the lines of he had been kidding, I didn't need to return the favor which I was grateful for since it saved me money. After lunch, Essy rushed to college as he had to meet his professor even though it was a Saturday and none of them had lessons on weekend. He had mumbled something about the meeting being important.

              "That's awkward, he meets his professor alot lately, I don't know if I should be worried."muttered Carl as soon as Essy had left. I nodded, it sure seemed like he wasn't telling everything.
            "I have been meaning to ask, do you wanna go out with me?" What? I thought he would never ask. Seeing my shocked face he added.
           "One date, if you don't like it, I back off."he was nervous I could see it. I almost shrieked a yes but I settled for nodding trying hard to keep myself from smiling but in vain, so I smiled warmly at him which he returned.
            "Great, so tomorrow night?"he asked and I nodded since I was busting with happiness inside.
             "If you're through, let's get you back to the apartment."he said.
           "I need to use the bathroom first." and I left without waiting for his response but I knew he wouldn't leave me behind and he also had to first grab his staff and all that. I couldn't wipe off the grin on my face.
