Today was the day of the famous York New underground auction.

You woke up with the sun, smiling firstly at the warmth that spread across your face from the sunshine, and then even more once you noticed the presence of a strong arm wrapped around your waist.

Carefully manoeuvring to gently turn yourself around, you gazed up at the face of a sleeping Feitan cuddling you. You studied his fine skin and the slight bags under his eyes from when you had kept him up all night doing... *cough*... bible study.

The dark eyebrows that perfectly framed his sculpted face, perching above those heavy grey orbs that you were all too familiar with. Even with his eyes closed, you would be able to recall every fleck and speckle that constructed those eyes that made your breath hitch every time that they gazed at you.

His hair flopped lazily around his face, messy and jostled from the long and intense holy worship that the pair of you had done. His small lips parted ever so slightly, allowing small but deep breaths to escape from between them.

Wrapped up in his firm arms, being pulled tightly into his chest whilst amidst an odyssey of endless blankets and comfort. I could really get used to this, you thought as you let out a small sigh, blessed with a smile.

This was the first time in a long time where you had felt totally and uncontrollably happy. Despite your cold and fearless exterior, deep down you had always been terrified. That's why you had made the conscious decision a long time ago to be alone. It was easier that way. No one to hurt you or let you down.

But Feitan was different. At first you had only followed him because you were intrigued. And honestly, bored out of your mind. After all, there's only so much isolation that one person can take. The man laying besides you, wrapping you protectively and lovingly in his arms, had changed that. He had filled that void in your heart so quickly, you barely had time to realise that you were in deep.

Little did you know that soon it would be your turn to hurt someone else.

Feitians eyes flittered open, only to be met with your face, delicately painted over with worry at the thought of remembering your lonely past. Whatever was on your mind that was causing your brows to be furrowed in distress, he wanted to slice it open and obliterate it. By nature, he was never very good with people or showing affection. The person closest to him was Shalnark. That little bugger had a habit of worming his way into people's hearts, albeit it was a result of his psychopathic tendencies and unwavering need to be liked.

That was all before you. This girl, whom he knew nothing about, who had wrapped herself around his mind and caressed his broken spirit, and before he even knew what was going on, his walls had come down. The walls that he had spent his entire life building. The walls that had been conditioned into his character at birth having been brought up in such a ruthless place as Meteor city.

And he couldn't be happier about it.

Pulling you closer into him so that he might smother you in affection, he leaned his head down and placed a soft kiss on your forehead, causing all the doubt and worry from your mind to suddenly evaporate as you quietly giggled up at him. Leaning back you stared at each other with eyes holding such powerful emotions, but above all; gratefulness.

Without realising it, you had both saved each other. From a life of isolation and regret. You had never been one to believe in soulmates, but this man was pretty damn close.

Rolling out of your stained but comfy sheets, the pair of you showered together. Although you did have shower sex (which was now one of your new favourite things to do), you also stood holding each other; letting the water run over the two bodies that melded together so perfectly.

The dynamic of your relationship was changing. Quickly. Previously, it had been fuelled on by lust and animalistic cravings, neither of you having experienced any sort of tender love before in your lives. But now, as you grew more comfortable with each other, you began to grow dependent on the nurturing side of your feelings.

Once the pair of you got ready, you waltzed downstairs, hand in hand, the smallest flecks of intimacy making your heart race. Finding everyone sitting around in dull silence, you pulled Feitan immediately out of the door, claiming that you would have found hanging yourself more amusing than the company of the other people in that room.

The rest of the day was spent in a peaceful haven of normality, hinting to the life that you never had, one which your past self would have snickered at, calling you a "mother fucking spineless simp".

But that had all changed with one man.
