Akaashi could believe all that he was hearing, seeing, witnessing. It was taking every bit of his willpower, his energy, to support Bokuto. He couldn't let him see the cracks that were forming in his veneer, so he relied on that support system he had built up over the weekend.

He texted the groupchat, and almost started crying because of their responses.

Akaashi ♡: Hello everyone. I'm with Bokuto-san, we're at the hospital now. I'm running low on energy, but I haven't left his side.^

Suga♡: I'm so proud of you honey! Do you need Oikawa-san and I to come to Tokyo?

Oikawa ♤: ofc we'll come if you need us to! We're here for you, always 💖

Kenma ☆: kuroo and I will be there after school, we don't have practice today. An hour, tops.

Akaashi ♡: I appreciate it, Kenma-san. Don't worry, Suga-san, Oikawa-san. I wouldn't want to trouble you, three hours is a long travel time.

Suga ♡: it's only an hour by train, are you sure?

Oikawa ♤: we want to help you and be there for you

Akaashi ♡: Only if you want to and it won't affect volleyball or studying.

Suga ♡: We'll be there no later than 5:30.

Oikawa ♤: cya soon babes!

Akaashi closed his phone as a nurse walked up to him, informing him of Bokuto's condition and that he is allowed to visit with him now.

He walked into the hospital room and immediately grabbed his senpai's hand, rubbing small circles into his palm.

"You don't have to talk about it, Bokuto-san, but I am here to listen. Kenma-san and Kuroo-san will be here soon, and so will Suga-san and Oikawa-san."

Akaashi made eye contact with Bokuto, who seemed mildly surprised that people were actually coming to visit him, that people actually cared.

He felt his phone buzz, and checked it quickly to see a message from Suga, telling Akaashi that Tsukishima, Yamaguchi, and Hinata would also be coming with.

"Suga-san says that Hinata-kun, Tsukishima-san, and Yamaguchi-san are also coming."

And he looked up at Bokuto again, who was now silently crying with a small smile on his face. Akaashi leaned over to wipe off the tears from Bokuto's cheeks, and hummed a little when Bokuto thanked him.

Seeing Bokuto in such a vulnerable state was something that he wasn't used to, and that in and of itself was overwhelming. Not to mention the fact that they were in a hospital, especially the emergency room, and it was making his head spin.

He could feel himself getting a headache and becoming tired, but he held on for his senpai.
