Cinthia's POV

  If only I could be on my period every single day, I thought sadly before taking down the minutes of the board meeting.

   Watching Adrian talk among the old men made me feel proud of him, how I wish James was healthy enough to see this.

    Raymond was always ready to belittle Adrian at every opportunity but my dear husband always had the last word each time it happened.

    "So lunch",said a male work colleague as soon as we came out of the meeting

    "Mrs Cinthia", Adrian called out to me

  "Sorry I got to run",I said immediately walking towards the boss

    "I need to see you in my office now",said Adrian loud enough for the three ladies standing not far to start gossiping about how Adrian would soon fire me.

   "Yes sir ",I said following him and on getting to his office, he shut the door behind us and he walked to his seat and sat down before looking at me.

    "You called me boss",I said

   "Boss?", Adrian said in amusement before firing orders at me

    "Adrian this is too much",I had to say

   "Well next time you see a male colleague trying to talk to you, you would walk away immediately", Adrian said

  "But that would be rude",I said

   "And you are my wife", Adrian countered back

   "Okay boss",I said smiling before walking away

    "I never said I was done", Adrian said which made me turn to look at him

    "I need the work done by 4pm, we have a gathering to attend together by 6pm", Adrian said

    "What do you mean by we?",I asked

   "You are my wife right, which means we get to go to functions together, enough of the questions, you may take your leave now", said Adrian then I walked out of his office

    "How dare he dump this amount of work on me",I said as I placed the files on the desk

   "Just because he saw me talking to a male colleague and what is that to him ",I asked then I turned back to see him standing in my office

    "I never thought you were one of those women who talk to themselves", Adrian said smiling while I frowned as I saw the files he carried

   "I am not to do that also, am I",I asked

   "No of course not it's me obviously it's you ", Adrian said dumping it on the desk for me

   "Adrian don't you think you are becoming more lazy",I asked

    "What!", Adrian said

  "But it's the truth, you hardly do any work this days because you always give everything to me ",I said

    "Well that's what I paid you for", Adrian said

   "You have not paid me yet exactly",I said

   "Well what do the wife of the richest man in the country need money for", Adrian asked taking his seat studying me

    "Who doesn't need money",I said as I made coffee for myself

   "So what do you need money for, i could have given it to you", Adrian said

    "I don't need your money, sorry it sounds offensive but I can't collect money from you I love to make my own money",I said
