Kai was beginning to get more than a little annoyed. He hadn't seen a glimpse of Minx in 3 fucking days, and she wasn't responding whenever he paged her.Wanna go get pancakes at Lisa's tomorrow morning?
Hello? Kind of rude to just not respond.
Minxy-Winxy, you're pissing me off. Respond to my messages for fucks-sakes.
Fine then. Be a bitch. What do I care?
Every single message was ignored, and he wasn't happy about it. He should be the one ignoring her, but no. She just had to piss him off.
After getting out of school on Tuesday, he decided enough was enough. Kai ditched Jo and told her to hitch a ride with one of her bimbo friends, not feeling an ounce of sympathy for his annoying twin. She had sold him out to Joshua a couple days prior for sneaking a piece of cake from Olivia and Luke's birthday cake, and he had paid for it with a bruised rib and a whip to the back. His torso was still sore from the brutal beating, but his desire to see Minx outweighed the uncomfortable feeling.
His sadistic urges were topping the scale more and more recently with how much Joshua would abuse his own son, and he could remember dreaming a few nights a week about getting to give his father a slow, excruciating death.
After what seemed like an hour's drive with the throbbing on his back and the pain from the bruised rib, he spotted Minx's house up ahead. He pulled to the side of the street about 30ft from her house and trudged through the rain.
He picked up the smallest pebble he could find and chucked it at the girl's window. It bounced off with a loud thud and fell onto the ground. He repeated the action approximately 4 more times until she opened her window. He hated that he felt a tad bit excited at seeing her, but it was majorly overridden with his anger.
"What in the hell are you doing here, Kai? It's pouring!" He didn't respond and lifted himself up to her window almost slipping and falling multiple times.
He stepped into her room and roughly ran his hands through his wet dark mane of hair. "Well I wouldn't have had to come to your house if someone answered their pager.. why does your face look like that?"
Kai wasn't able to see her features from the ground, but now that he was so close he could make out a burn mark on the side of her neck and her left eye was severely bruised. Minx's long curly hair was tangled and she looked like the definition of depressed.
"What do you mean? The scowl or the ever-present look of vexation whenever I see you?"
"No, I'm talking about the way you look like you just got into a fight with the russian mafia and lived to tell the tale. Not gonna lie, you look like shit babe."
"Gee thanks. Glad to see you too, douchebag. I just got into a small altercation, no need to worry your precious little heart to death."
He rolled his eyes and held her face in his hands, slowly tilting it from side to side to see the bruises on her neck. "Ugh, who do we have to beat up? We're like Bonnie and Clyde, if you think about it. I'm the sexy murderer and you're my hot sidekick. Obviously I'm the main character for obvious reasons-."
