"Bloody Potter's Gryffindor's new Seeker," Y/n picked up her head, which had been buried in a book as she sat in the library, when she heard the familiar voice. "Merlin's sake, what are they thinking, letting a first year on the team," the voice continued. "At least we get to watch Harry get badly injured and make a fool out of himself." Malfoy said as Crabbe and Goyle laughed around him.

"Shut up Malfoy, between you and Harry, one of you made the team, and it's not the guy sitting with his dumb friends wishing harm on someone." y/n spoke up.

Malfoy walked over to the table where y/n was sitting. "Do you ever know when to just be quiet?" he said once he reached her table. His words were taunting, asking for a reply but y/n didn't want to fuel his ego.

"I guess I don't," she simply replied.

"Well don't make m-" Malfoy tried to get a response out but was cut off by a Gryffindor fifth year shushing them. Y/n smirked at Malfoy, who turned and walked back to Crabbe and Goyle, but made sure to give her a dirty look right as he did so.

Y/n and Hermione were sitting on a bench when Hermione perked up at the sound of Harry and Ron's voices. They both ran over to the two boys who were talking about Quidditch. Hermione had already told y/n that Harry made the Quidditch team and would be a seeker. Y/n was rather impressed as it was very unusual for a first year to make the house team.

"What if I make a fool of myself," y/n heard Harry say to Ron, catching the end of their conversation.

"You won't make a fool of yourself," Hermione interjected, "It's in your blood." Harry, Ron, and y/n looked at each other confusingly. "Oh come on you guys," Hermione said as she led them down a corridor.

The group stopped at a glass case that housed plaques. Hermione pointed to the plaque in the middle which had names on it. On the bottom center, there was a golden shield that had 'seeker' on it and just below the word seeker, had 'James Potter' engraved.

"Woah," y/n breathed in amazement.

"You never told us your father was a seeker too," Ron added, just as shocked.

"I... didn't know," Harry finished, a soft smile growing on his face.

Y/n parted ways with her friends as she headed up to her dorm. Luna and Annie were already there tucked into their beds, but Luna wasn't sleeping.

"Did you hear," Luna sat up as y/n made her way over to her bed.

"Hear what?"

"Gringotts was broken into, it's all over the news."

"I haven't heard anything, was anything stolen?"

"Not according to the goblins, just broken into."

Y/n didn't know what to say. She was under the impression that it was impossible to break into Gringotts.

"Well, goodnight y/n, it's been a long day," Luna dreamily spoke up.

"Yeah, sleep well Luna," y/n replied as she tucked herself in.

Y/n was walking with Harry and Ron, Seamus and Dean were behind them after charms class. Y/n had found it easier than the others, especially Ron, considering how much he was complaining that Hermione was scolding him on how to pronounce 'Wingardium Leviosa'. Y/n had been sitting with Harry, so she didn't get to hear it.

"She's a nightmare, honestly. No wonder she hasn't got any friends," Ron continued.

"Ron!" y/n said in disbelief. She thought that Hermione could be a bit much at times, but Ron was being harsh on her. Just then, Hermione walked right by Ron, shoving his shoulder hard as she did so. "Hermione wait!" y/n yelled as she followed a clearly distraught Hermione.
