Y/n was sitting with Luna when, out of the corner of her eye,  she saw Snape walk up to Harry and say something to him.

"What do you think y/n?" Luna asked, drawing her out of her thoughts.

"Sorry what?" she started just as she noticed Harry's owl, Hedwig, fly in with a broom. "Sorry, Luna, I'll be back," she said as she shot Luna a smile and headed to the Gryffindor table.

"It's a broomstick!" she heard Harry say as she walked up.

"Well I wouldn't have guessed," she said sarcastically, taking a seat next to Ron as she did so.

    "That's not just a broomstick, that's a Nimbus 2000!" Ron exclaimed.

"But who-" Harry said as he turned to see Mcgonagall smiling at them.

"So what was Snape talking to you guys about anyway?" y/n questioned Hermione as they waited for the match to start.

"He very sarcastically wished Harry good luck," she replied.

"Harry thinks he let the troll in," Ron added. "Said that's why Snape was limping."

"But why would Snape let the troll in, he's a professor?"

"Harry said that Hagrid got something very important and very secret out of the vault at Gringotts. That's what we think Snape is trying to get. That's what we think the three-headed dog I told you about is guarding," Hermione explained.

"So he let the troll in as a distraction, then?"

    "That's our theory," Ron replied.

"But why Snape out of all people I mean sure he's not the best but a troll?" y/n asked out of confusion. She didn't count Hermione as the type to accuse professors of such things.

"Well, do you have any better ideas?" Ron asked.

Y/n thought for a moment, but shook her head. She didn't have a better answer, not yet anyway. "We just need more proof before we go around accusing people."

"Harry did say something about a scar on his leg." Hermione wondered out loud.

"Oh yeah I saw that too," y/n said. "But what if he was fighting the troll off?"

Before Ron or Hermione had a chance to respond, the field was full of the Gryffindor and the Slytherin team members flying over the field. Gryffindor took an early lead, although that didn't last long because Flint took Oliver Wood and Angelina Johnson out.

"Harry's spotted the snitch!" y/n said excitedly once she saw Harry chase after a small glistening golden object. A couple of seconds after he started chasing it, the broom started to move sporadically, like a horse trying to buck it's rider off.

"What's going on with Harry's broomstick?" Hagrid questioned as Hermione looked at Harry through her binoculars.

"It's Snape, he's jinxing the broom," Hermione whisper-yelled to y/n and Ron.

    "Snape? But why-"

"Jinxing the broom? What do we do?" Ron interjected in a panic.

"Leave it to me," Hermione said as she hurried away. Harry was now hanging from his broom. Y/n looked at Ron nervously as he looked back and forth from the binoculars.

"Look Ron!" y/n exclaimed once Harry's broom had calmed down. Ron followed y/n's finger to see what she was pointing at. Snape's cloak had caught on fire, no doubt the work of Hermione.

Harry immediately got back to playing as if nothing had happened and he chased after the snitch, which led him to get in a fight of who could push the hardest, Harry, or the Slytherin chaser. Harry got the upperhand when he was the last to narrowly miss the ground. He then stood on his broom in an attempt to catch the snitch, but in his effort, leaned too far forward and fell over the front of his broom. Everyone gasped as he stood up, looking like he was about to be sick. He looked like he was about to throw up when the golden snitch popped out of his mouth. Everyone around y/n broke into cheers, and y/n did as well. Out of the corner of her eye she saw Malfoy who looked rather disappointed. She wanted to laugh at this, but couldn't bring herself to do it.

"But why would Snape put a curse on Harry's broom?" y/n asked as she walked with Ron, Hermione, Harry, and Hagrid.

"Who knows? Why did he want to get past the three headed dog on Halloween?" Harry asked back.

"I never said he was trying to get past that thing," y/n fired back.

"Who told you about Fluffy?" Hagrid questioned.

    "Fluffy?" Ron said, shocked.

"It has a name?" y/n asked.

"Well of course he's got a name, he's mine. I bought him off an Irish feller last year. Then, I lent him to Dumbledore to guard the-"

    "Yes?" Harry urged.

"I shouldn't have said that," Hagrid mumbled. "No more questions, don't ask anymore questions. That's top secret that is." he added sternly.

"But Hagrid, whatever luffy's guarding, Snape's trying to steal it." Harry pleaded.

"Codswallop," y/n raised her eyebrows at Harry in a 'I told you so way'. "Snape's a Hogwarts teacher."

"Hogwarts teacher or not, I know a spell when I see one, I've read all about them. You've got to keep eye contact and Snape wasn't blinking," Hermione explained.

"Exactly," Harry said, backing her up.

Hagrid sighed before he continued. "Now you listen to me, all four of you-"

    "Four? I haven't accused anyone!" y/n complained.

"That's besides the point, you're meddling in things that ought not to be modeled in. It's dangerous. What that dog is guarding is strictly between Professor Dumbledore and Nicholas Flammel."

    "Nicholas Flammel?" Harry asked.

"I shouldn't've said that. I should not have said that." Hagrid mumbled as he turned around.

"Nicholas Flamel," Herry repeated. "Who's Nicolas Flamel?"

"Beats me," y/n responded as they turned to walk to the school. "Hey Hermione, did you think of the fact that Snape could've been using counter jinxes?"

"Maybe, but in order for someone to perform a counter jinx, there must be a jinx in the first place. I didn't see anyone else making eye contact with the broom."

"Just putting that out there," y/n suggested as they continued to walk back to the school.
