"Ouch! Sorry I-" y/n yelped. She rubbed her arm when she looked up to see Malfoy standing in front of her in the hallway. "Really?" she sighed, annoyed, "I'm trying to get dinner," she whined.

"So am I," he stated simply.

Y/n's face showed her confusion as she tried to reason. "The Great Hall is that way," she pointed the direction she was facing, "You're going the opposite way."

"I got distracted," he said as he turned to walk towards the Great Hall, "Well? Are you coming? Or are you not able to walk?"

Y/n rushed to catch up with him. "Are you okay? You're being halfway decent to me."

"According to my housemates' judgment, Slytherin won the house cup," he remarked proudly.

"Yeah I doubt that," she laughed. Her smile quickly vanished when they reached the Great Hall that was decked out in Slytherin colors, banners with the Slytherin crest lined the sides of the hall. Y/n scoffed and Malfoy smirked at her just before going to their house tables. She huffed loudly as she sat down next to Luna and Annie. Her and Annie exchanged annoyed looks while Luna was staring at the front of the hall. Y/n looked around the hall, looking for her Gryffindor friends. Her face lit up when she saw Harry sitting at the Gryffindor table, next to Ron and Hermione. Harry saw and they smiled at each other.

She turned to face the front when Mcgonagall clinked her glass to get everyone's attention. The chatter quieted down as Dumbledore stood up and started his speech.

"Another year, gone. And now, as I understand it, the House Cup needs awarding. And the points stand as follows," y/n heard Annie sigh as the Headmaster started to list the points, "In fourth place, Gryffindor, with 312 points," y/n looked for her friends facial expression, but her eyes landed on Malfoy, who looked as happy as ever to hear the news. The students started to clap, mostly out of pity, for Gryffindor. "Third place," Dumbledore continued, "Hufflepuff, with 352 points," the students clapped again before Dulbdore continued, "In second place, Ravenclaw, with 426 points."

"Second place, not bad," Annie said to y/n. Y/n smiled at her in response as the hall clapped again, the noise louder than the last two times.

"And in first place, with 472 points, Slytherin house," the Slytherin table erupted into screams of excitement. The enthusiasm wasn't exactly matched with the other houses, who weren't too happy. Y/n and her friends slowly clapped along with the rest of their house. "Yes, yes, well done Slytherin," Dumbledore said, "However, recent events must be taken into account. And I have a few last minute points to award," the students started murmuring amongst themselves as to who the points could be awarded to. That was cleared up by Dumbledore when he explained, "To Miss Hermione Granger for the good use of intellect. When others were in peril, 50 points," everyone started to cheer for her, but Dumbledore wasn't done, "Second, to Mr. Ronald Weasley, for the best played game of chess that Hogwarts has seen these many years, 50 points."

"For chess?" Annie asked, half sarcasm, half actual confusion. Y/n just shrugged as she didn't know the answer either. She was happy for Ron and Hermione.

"And third, to Mr. Harry Potter for pure love, and outstanding courage. I award Gryffindor house 60 points."

"Well that more than makes up for the points they lost themselves," y/n said out loud, which warranted a confused look from Annie.

"They're now tied with Slytherin," Luna said to y/n and Annie as the rest of the hall, besides the Slytherins, burst into cheers.

"And finally, it takes a great deal of bravery to stand up to your enemies, but a great deal more to stand up to your friends," Dumbledore rambled on. He had lost Luna and y/n's attention, y/n figured he'd let Gryffindor win at this rate.
